+++ Questions about the Monster GT.
1. "Are the MGT's wheels & tires going to be compatible with the
T-Maxx?"
The tires and wheels of the T-Maxx will fit the
MonsterGT. (The MGT is
not 1:8 scale. It is merely BIG.)
2. "Will the bodies be compatible with the T-Maxx?"
The T-Maxx bodies will not fit. The MGT is much
bigger than a T-Maxx,
and requires a larger body.
3. "In RTR form, how fast is this truck?"
We haven't done a speed test on the final
production version, so we
can't say conclusively. Trust the R/C magazines to do a shoot-out
among
the trucks available.
4. "Will you come out with an electric version?"
We have no plans for an electric MGT
version.

4. Nitro Tips
+++ "Why should I use the 75cc tank insert?"
The tank insert is required to limit the tank
capacity to comply with
IFMAR, EFRA, and FEMCA rules. Here in the US we have ROAR and NORRCA,
which
do not require the tank insert.
+++ "I have too much steering in my Nitro TC3. I have a dual rate
radio
with all steering dailed out. Would a one-way or straight-axle in
front
help?"
Actually, a one-way or straight axle will give you
more on power
steering. Try using stiffer front springs, or put on the blade sway
bar,
or use harder compound tires.
+++ Nitro beginner question: "I was in the process of breaking in my
engine, and now this golden color fluid is coming from the exhaust."
That will be excess fuel and oil. Don't
worry--this is normal until
the engine is properly broken in.

5. Electric Tips
+++ "I have rallified my TC3 and noticed that if I jump even the
smallest
bumps my differentials really take a beating."
The rally conversion converts the TC3 to a rally
car, not an off road
car. Rally courses do not have jumps as large as off road buggy and
truck
courses do. You may wish to use the #3918 steel diffs if you're
currently
using the lightweight plastic diffs.
+++ "I have an RTR TC3. I was looking through the manual and saw the
counterfeit transponder and mount and I have no idea what it is."
In races that use electronic lap counting systems,
a transponder is
attached to each car. The lap counter uses the transponder to identify
the
car to count laps. Use the counterfeit (non-working) transponder if you
are
going to race and want to take into account the transponder's weight
when
you make your setup changes.
+++ "I've been told that the graphite part is stronger than the
plastic
version."
The carbon composite or graphite parts are favored
by experienced
drivers because they are stiffer, not because they are less resistant
to
breakage. Being stiffer, they are more responsive to the driver's
control.
We recommend you use the molded composite parts until you learn to keep
off
the boards. The molded composite parts have more flex.
