I've had my mini with me the past two race weekends but no one ever showed up. I have to work this weekend. Hope more people show up. I'd like for this to be a class.

NorCal got a series race which has a class for 2wd mini.  Bringing my mini Sunday.  Racing if we have enough entries

I'm not the best driver out there.  But I'm still having fun

Scargoes-  It depends on Long, Mid, or Short.

Long-  BMW Mini, JCW, Mazda Rx7, Mazda 2
Mid- Mazda mx5, Suzuki Swift
Short- Nissan Silvia S15

I like these bodies because there is no Wheel rub from the inside.

what is the best body to use? I only have a the prefinished mini body that came in my kit. Im not a fan of how it sits on the V2 chassis and we aren't allowed to trim the chassis.

Lots of questions on the discontinued Mini bodies...use what you have they are legal to race the series.

Convert your M05 to an M05 ver.II

The main difference is that you can now use Standard square shape lipo batteries in your Mini.  No more round Lipos.  Here is what you will need:

54605 Ver.II Chassis A parts, for square shaped lipos
54614 Carbon one piece arms single (need 2 of these for a set), High traction
54606 Soft one piece arms pair, for low traction
54609 Ver.II Motor mount, motor is more centered

Norcal will be racing Sunday March 5.  Bring your TCS Minis out.

Just saw that you placed 3rd John! Way to go!!
I raced w/ you a year or so ago at a GroundPounders race in N.California., You blew me away but the advice you gave me really helped and its cool to say I've raced w/ someone who has placed at a TCS event.

Great stuff John! We were all rooting for ya.

I'll join you next year for TCS. I have always wanted to do a TCS race ever since I got into the hobby.

The 2016 Tamiya Mini Season has been good to me, but most of all I need to thank some people....

Fernando J :  Your help in showing me which tools and gadgets to use to get the best possible use out of everything RC related I own.  Whether it be batteries, motors, or esc's; I will always have the best stuff.

Larry C : Your help in motor building was just mind boggling but spot on.  And your driving clinic on fixed gearing/rpm advice gave me fast lap in Qualifying and in the Triple A Mains.

It was a tough battle at Tamiya...qualified 2nd...finished 3rd.  I now know that "rubbing" is racing at this level of spec racing.  I will be ready next year with everything I learned last weekend.  And I hope that more Bay Area racers make the trek or attempt at a Trip to Japan with Tamiya.

If I am cleared for racing by the medical specialist on the thirteenth, I will definitely come on up and run Mini. Last year was sick, Blake and Art raced nose to tail the full race, until the last three minutes and Art pulls it out with a detuned motor. So I will let you know what the decision is on Friday.

I usually get my stuff from TQ Hobbies online. Usually takes 2 to 3 days shipping.
