Here is a pack some are using with good results.Inexpensive compared to the Thunderpower.Maybe Mike can chime in here.

You can go a bunch of different routes here Chris.I would stick with a 4S-5S setup. When you buy batteries, you certainly get what you pay for.You will need 2 to 3 packs.Range of prices go from 89.00 to 189.00+ for these types of packs.Usually the more expensive packs net you better quality, but not in every instance.Thunderpower R/C are some of the best packs as you may know. Here is an example of a really great pack.So if you get these hit Gary or Eric up at Norcal for them.Support the local shop with the the track you are actually gonna run this at.Cool

Well,  add me to the 1/8 class. I just bought my first 1/8 electric buggy and in the process of putting it together. I should be ready very soon.

Any recommendation of which batts I should get? I'll be running a Castle Mamba Monster ESC and 2200kv motor. Thanks for your help.

We have tried 10 before.People complained about not enough time to practice and it does take awhile to get everyone signed up.We usually get started at 10:30 sharp. We had a couple computer hangups to resolve this last Saturday. We still made good time on Saturday and done way before dark.

Any chance we could start racing at 10 on Fridays?  I think it would be nice for peeps who travel from Sacramento and other distant locations.

Thanks for all who showed. 103 Entries, 2.5 hours of practice and done before dark.  I hope all had a good time. Look for a track change to start happening in two weeks time.

8 electric buggies and 2 nitros.it is only the beginning.I imagine 25 buggies before long. The cars are legit fast.I mean,Tyler is FAST.1/8 is his game and it showed today, but none the less electric 1/8 is here!

Good racing today. If I missed any critical calls from the track,I apologize guys.I will try harder and have a plan to implement to help me make calls during racing.See you all next week!

yeah the sound thing may be a serious factor if 10 cars are on the track at once.
