Frank,

J. Hern. better be fast at his home track.  Otherwise, Immigration is going to pull that Puerto Rican card he carries.  LOl.

I ran an x3 blockade that worked well, and a medium impact seemed good too. Might try and x2 blockade next round. Like Frank said-Hernandez's tires were definitely working well.

In e buggy I ran impact soft and they lasted 15 mins. Then I ran a set of grid irons soft and they were toast in 10 mins. I would say impact med, maybe grid iron med.The track is very abrasive but a blast to drive. And Hernandez was on his own planet pulling lap times in the 23's while a select few could barely scratch the very high 25's.

I think most are running AKA impact or similar. Grid Irons work, but wear much faster. I wanted to try Enduros but didn't have any. If you stay on the line, almost anything works well enough for practice, but getting out into the dust at all requires some appropriate rubber.

All 3 off road tracks are a lot of fun right now. The indoor is working well, the outdoor 10th scale has all kinds of traction and is smooth, and the 8th scale track has picked up traction as well. Had a lot of fun with the weekend races and getting back outside for 10th scale. Thanks NorCal!

Yes, the Medium Handlebar is on it's way to us now.  Allot.  It's what was used at the Cactus Classic.

There's some MX stuff that showed up today too.

2wd buggy MX Suburbs and Orange V2 Barcodes seem to be OOS just about everywhere. I finally found the Suburbs at Absolute Hobbyz if any of you are still looking.

The track is extremely smooth. Best 10th track I have ever seen outdoors at norcal.

If it's smooth then closed cell (I like JConcepts profiled best). If a little bumpy I have been finding that standard open cell work better. They keep the car a little more settled when bumpy.

If the dirt/traction is anything like it was 2 years ago, I had good luck with even the white compound Barcodes. Anyways, glad to see the outdoor 1/10th track is back. Most likely count me in for some 4WD mod buggy action. Maybe 1/8th e-buggy if I can get mines sorted out.

I used "soft" aka handlebars standard tread depth (STD) on the big outdoor track and they worked and wore pretty well on a 17.5 buggy. They seem to only be available in Soft, SUPER Soft, and CLAY.  I can't seem to find the specifics as to application but maybe someone can chime in. I figured Clay wouldn't work as well outdoors in higher temps as that's what most other brands say but again I couldn't find the exact answer.

Orange J concepts bar codes (V2) have been out of stock...most places. From what I read the new(ish) proline X2(med) suburbs are supposed to wear twice as long as a medium soft M3 with similar traction/conditions. What do I know, though. LOL. We'll find out.
