Man, I hope that is the case. All of you 2wd buggy guys now have my full sympathy after running 17.5 buggy for the last couple weekends. I managed to flip my car over 3-4 time during the main from catching ruts in the track. At the same time the 1/8th line seemed to be in pretty good shape.

We ran it wet for the 8th scales on Sunday and that smoothed it out really well. The expectation was to re-sugar it for the 10th scale sugar series closer, and that should go down on some pretty flat stuff without requiring tons of patches like before. At least, that was the thinking after Sunday, not sure if anything has changed since.

Everybody did well in the race, so close throughout the race.

I learned a little from 2wd buggy race, when I was in the lead, I chose to slow down a bit to keep steady and expect you guys to make mistakes when chasing fast.

next week is gonna be really exciting! top 3 in the series is only 1 point apart.

Great race Nick. Sorry I didn't get to battle with you more. Next week though...then maybe I'll have tires.

Super exciting race today, 6 minutes, non-stop fight, wheel to wheel, racing line fight, sportsmanship, and "you never know what will happen".

It looks like most of the big dogs will be at Silver Dollar this weekend. It might be a good weekend for some of us mid field guys to have our day.

I'm all for the dock one lap rule. I'd also like to see those that continually show up late miss their heats.

My viewpoint on corner marshals is this and my opinion and have seen this happen @ NorCal especially last Saturday.

1. Other tracks I've been to will dock you 1 lap if you don't marshal unless you are in the next race, period. Points race or not.

2. I've seen 'some' of these 'Team Drivers' think they are GOD so they don't even attempt to marshal and instead talk on the side after their race. But when it's their race, they make sure marshals are present. The race directors should call out each driver and raise their hands to show they are on the track. Even if there seems to be enough marshals, more is better.

When I marshal, I try to safely and quickly get the car back on the track or flipped back over, I feel like some people have the bum leg excuse and like to take their time when ever its my car, (noted mentally so when their car needs help, I have a bum leg too..)

I've seen similar classes combined before, such as open 2WD SC and open Stadium Truck, and it hasn't been a problem. I've also seen not as similar classes combined (4wd sc and eBuggy) and it didn't work very well. I agree with dirt's point on points when the series is a highly competitive one with a bunch of drivers, but if only 2 or 3 folks are there, it is unlikely to make a ton of difference. It is not common to get multiple classes that small though, so putting extras into a large class doesn't make much sense.

What can work well is for the race director to ask for volunteers to marshal the race after the small one instead of the small one, making marshals thin on the small race to help fill the marshals back out when there's only 2 or 3 people from the previous race to go out and marshal.

Could we have a staggered start. Start the faster class first, then let the slower class start 5-10 seconds later?

BTW: It looks like there was only one class that small last weekend.

I like the idea, keeps things a little more interesting and fixes the marshal problem. Jer, I understand your concern but, its not much different than a lead lap driver getting wrecked by a lapper. And this is done in full size racing, if they can handle it, I think we can

Chris, will you have an extra EB48 skid for purchase this Saturday? Hoping I can make it out this weekend if I can get my body painted in time and finish some loose ends on the electronics.

For example: if you did do that(2 classes together) & one guy from the  other class wrecks with the other class driver it would afect the point/standins of two people that are not even in the same class. I hope that point makes a bit of sense. That's why some tracks have min. 5 to make a class rule.......these are just a few that I can think of............If you don't know the answer then the question is a legit one.....No fire from this way at all........

I have a question, but I don't want it to start a war so let's keep it civil.

There are a couple classes that seem to have low turnout every week. It's not a big deal if they run, but it makes it hard for the classes that follow them because there are only 2-4 marshals available. Is it possible that those classes could be run together in the same race, but scored separately? If not, could those two classes be run back to back and marshal for each other?

Let me dive into my foxhole before anyone else replies...
