Good ideas and thoughts all the way around guys. I love the idea of a spec tire for any class that's not Pro Mod, weather it be Sportsman Mod or 17.5. I would like to put that rule in effect once we settle in on the new track and surface indoors. It will help grow the racing even more with racers not worrying about the tire game. Again, keep up with the useful info. Thanks.

i think that would be the better of the 2. If you win 3 times in 17.5 you get bumped out and are going to have to throw a mod motor in anyway.

might as well learn to drive with a mod motor and not have to buy 17.5, 13.5, 10.5, 8.5, flux capacitor, 19 different compounds of tires, 8 different types of foams, hot dogs, beer, tire glue, different chassis, springs ahhhhhhhhhh ok now im rambling!

just motors really =)

there's enough mod entries to separate it into pro/sportsman. i like that idea.

Id run 17.5    sounds like fun..   its for non ramping right?

can we choose a spec tire too?   or just make it open spend class like biner racing.

That would be a fun class.

17.5 and Mod for me. I don't feel like buying another motor just to run 13.5. I don't feel like there will be much difference in lap times between a 13.5 class and the mod class on the small indoor track. Maybe it was just the first attempt at a layout on the new indoor track but 10.5 seems about perfect for me and I believe that is what Jesse ran on his way to a win(s).

a lot of tracks do a sportsman mod and a pro mod.

This way you can still learn to drive your mod motor but with similar skill levels.

How bout two open classes. Jesse decides who races what. Then bumps you as he feels necessary.

I ran on wednesday in 17.5 and it was fast enough. I ran a 8.5 in practice because thats what I had in the car when I ran outside. It was way too much motor.

Isn't 17.5 the roar stock class? I'd like to run a class that I can run anywhere.

I agree with Biner. I have been running 2wd mod for a little while now and even though I have pretty decent control over my Buggy ....... it gets a little old riding the line next to the line to let the fassst guys go by as I'm getting lapped. The only reason I started running mod is becuase 17.5 died out for a little bit. I HATE taking S*** in & out of my rides all the time so I just stuck with my 10.5 in Mod. I will throw in my 17.5 tonight in my buggy BUT I hope the class stays becuase if I have to go back to Mod ... I'm going to stay in it for good or for worse  Again not trying to stir the pot ... This is just my 2 cents.

I agree with Hater. I would rather step down to a 13.5. Mod is kicking my butt.

I just purchased a Team Powers 17.5 motor this past Wednesday and really enjoyed running stock for the first time. My B4.1 was plenty fast for the new indoor track so I would prefer to stay in the 17.5 class.

It really seems like there are too many people running mod 2wd buggy. While I am certainly for everyone trying, you might serve yourself better by racing 13.5 or 17.5 2wd. These cars are really hard to drive with a 8.5 turn, etc. I see alot of frustrated people at times.

It's cool to see C mains and all, but maybe it would be better to find a way to split things by skill level or motor turn.

poet, i would think you'd be allowed to run in a 13.5 class with a 17.5. would probably still have to be blinky though.

My buddy and I just bought 17.5 Team Powers motors from NorCal for our RB5 builds to try and make sure that class gets running consistently while we don't just get in people's way. I'm guessing we won't matter for another couple weeks though and we're planning on running Saturdays, so not sure if that still matters or if this is only for Wed nights. I'm flexible though, and also have an 8.5 to toss in, in case "stock" can't run.

I keep hearing that people want a 13.5 Buggy class. There is no way we can add another class on wednesday night. The only solution is to change the stock class to 13.5 but everyone would have to agree that 13.5 is what they want. These are the 17.5 Guys from last week. Do you guys want to Run 13.5?

I stopped by Friday and burned some nitro. I love the big out door layouts and NorCal is always enjoyable. I brought the e car but it neve left the pits. I destroyed a brand new pipe and busted the hell out of a camberlink on that left sweeping, dont hit the pump section burning nitro is always a great time. Hopefully this Sunday will co operate weather wise. I'm dying to race some nitro.
