Seems like always on a Tuesday a thread blows up. I think the bumper is the same on the sc-r sp. I tried the outer hinge pin method and kept losing a nut. What I like about the electrical tape is it prevents your bumper from bowing and eventually purchase a new one. The strc hinge brace works due to the oring.Give it try Dave, it will only cost you about ten cents worth of electrical tape. Maybe Castro can chime in but I beleive he somehow made a sc10 bumper to work on his scr.

Yeah I haven't tried any of the new SC-R bumpers. Dave would have more experience than me.

06 Tahoe is and always will be #2. Because he edits alot.

@Martin...thanks for the spelling correction. I worked hard to proofread the mistakes. I won't edit that spelling because I keep it real.

The new Kyosho SC Bumpers suck as bad or worse then my first one. Going back to a T-Bone Racing bumper --- just trim to size desired . NEVER had an issue w/ front brace after using my last one . PLUS if you ever break front bulk head it holds everything together so you can at least finish your Race ---even Ron W. has been using after checking mine out ---

So if Drama gets lots of Views --does that mean 06Tahoe is #1 on RCRacing.com ? LOL

@justpoet - You are right. They never lead off the news with happy stuff....unless you achieve greatness or something (winning the world series). Let me know if you need any tips or pointers.

@HATER Threads with drama are generally always the most viewed, just like news stations that provide the most appalling news, or tv shows that provide the most shock value.

I don't know you, but I've seen your name fly around and you seem to know how to drive...so hopefully someday I can learn from following you in a loss, and come back and get ya the next week.

(that'll be a very long while, I'm sure)

Oh, and I like the crazy track things, such as the wall ride...but I also used to ride stuff like that, cliff drops, etc on my mountain bike...so I'm a little warped to begin with. O:-)

Now that my rant is over.

Nice video Jesse. I love how I was at the end. You saved the best for last!

@Kyosho SC-R users....I heard the newer batch of bumpers are stronger. So that fix with the rear outside hinge pins might not be necessary. I haven't purchased one of the new ones yet...so I'm not sure. The new bumpers shouldn't fall apart as quickly...thus allowing the brace to stay in. Also, there's a newer style brace that came out around 9 months ago. Those are keyed into the bumper and a bit thicker. Try one of those if you don't have one already.

Dear Outtacotrol:

Yes I spelled it Outtacontrol. The correct way of spelling it.....because I'm a spelling Nazi and I love it. You missed a "t".... Or is that your real handle?

I thought about it. Your a "hidden name" member since 2002 with just 15 posts. So either I'm really that special to get one of your 15 posts in a decade's time....or you're another fellow oldtimer with a hidden screen-name (what is commonly known as a coward). I'm really thinking I'm that special....or at least wishing....but I digress...

Yes there are alot of people that don't like me and share your views. But I don't care. I express that with the most serious ABR serious face. I have a screen name that pisses people off. I made it for all the dumb people. It's a test to see how people will react. If they sense aggression, nearly anything you say will be taken as that. In this case, all I did was complement someone on there artistry (the flyer) and expressed my displeasure for fatty cheese foods. I guess that was the last straw.....the straw that broke the camel's back. Perhaps you own a large share of stock in a nacho cheese company? Did I send your stock down? I proved my point about the handle.

What I think doesn't matter. It's just my opinion. If you don't like the movie, change the channel. I'm very opinionated....duh? What's new? It's better than a bunch of the people I see at the track....always out in the parking lot with their "fun stuff" we shall say....yelling at corner-marshals, wanting to yell at other racers that suck as bad as they do for hitting their car accidentally. Not just at this particular track....it's everywhere I've been to. I want to preface that. Do you ever see any of that from me? Hell No! I don't take things that seriously. Win or lose I'm pretty much even keel. I help and advise each and every person that asks for it....as Hopper mentioned. Try getting that from alot of the higher tiered factory drivers.

As for your comment about no one would miss me. Maybe some wouldn't...but not no one as you insist. I disagree. In fact I have proof. From a period of after the 2011 1/10 ROAR Nats to around November I hardly was at Norcal for my own personal reasons. I went to alot of other tracks....saw alot of faces. I received a bunch of texts from people such as Nelson Bee, Jesse Stark, ABR, Eric V, and...Kevin Jelich. Yes that's right....the same person I have criticized more times that our current president has had shots taken at him. All of them with the same comments..."when are you coming to nor cal", "what's wrong", yada yada. So you're dead wrong. Only 90% of the people don't want me to come back. 10% absolutely love and adore me.

the rant continues....

My resume also states that I'm very popular on this message board. In the past, all of the threads involving my posts have been the most viewed. I'm basically the Beetles of this message board. That's really surfing the bottom of the ocean. We are all bigtime losers for spending this much time talking about nothing....including such topics as Nachos, if Chipotle, and how people wouldn't miss me.

I would like to close this in saying that I really don't matter. In fact I don't matter at all. Not one bit. I just wrote this posts to suck you into reading yet another useless post. Hope it filled up 5 minutes of your time.

OUT!

LINER NOTES:

Hopefully a Humong gang won't shoot him out in the parking lot like they did to Walt Kowalski. Weird analogy. Yeah Biner, if you never show up again @ Norcal, noone will miss you! That sounds oddly familiar....oh that's right I got a note stating the same thing about me!

Re: Front braces falling off. I'm using a set of rear outer hinge pins on the front with nuts at each end. The brace can't fall off that way.

Biner reminds me of Walt Kowalski from Gran Torino. He puts on a grumpy front here on the boards but he is a good guy under that crusty exterior. He has always helped me out when I've asked.

Biner is always helpful when you ask him a question on setup, tires, etc. Good guy to have at the track. Fast and fun to watch.

Kyosho SC front Brace:

Nothing against "hokie" but the STRC brace is cheap and works great too. I replaced mine with the STRC after I lost the stock one and it sticks on there pretty good!

Nice flyer (positive comment).

I hate Nachos. They taste crappy and give you the runs (neg comment)

Dave get electrical tape and sandwich the top and bottom of the bumper. It sounds hokie but it's effective. Never lost another brace since and it prevents your bumper from bowing and pulling out from the bottom two screws. Ask your buddy R. Williams, I think he has done something similar. Hope this helps. Can you put some carne asada on my nachos please!
