Regarding turnmarshalling - Always remember RC cars have the right of way.   Never assume a car is going to try to avoid you.  Always, always be safe gentlemen.   Don't ever get into the racing line unless you know you can get out safely.

all yall 17.5 guys may need to invest in 64 pitch to get crazy with gearing, its done in oval and in onroad. i hear people dont like 64 in offroad because of stripping issues, not sure if that is the case?

I was running a 72/30 in my K car with a Tekin RS ramped to the mooooon! As Jake would put it. Not sure where you need to be with an LRP. But im sure somewhere in the same ballpark. Like Hot Rod Sparkle said you need to run associated spur and slipper. Unfortunately kyosho doesn't make one smaller then a 76t. If they do I haven't found one. The AE spur works with no issues. Hope this helps.

sound like a 30 pinion 72 spur is the going set up. I know some kyosho guys are running associated spurs?

Not sure. Couple guys on here have Kyosho's and run 17.5 they may be able to point your in a closer direction.

I ran 33 75 in my B4 ran a little hot and need a bit more toque. It was fast when it got up to speed. =)

I think there is some more info in the 17.5 Roll call thread

Much thanks to Sean, KJ, Jonathan H and Mike for helping me with my Hyper TT.  It was the first time I ever ran it!  I don't race often but when I do, I appreciate all the help I get from the veterans.  John does a great job as race director and when my family does come to visit, they love hearing his play by play.

BTW, I was running 17.5 1/10 buggy (RB5) and noticed that my buggy was getting smoked down the long straightaway.  Does that mean I'm not geared correctly?  I was running a Ballistic 17.5 (26 pinion) with an LRP SXX TC Spec (v1) with ADPC2 set to 8.

It would be pretty simple to do we just need a counter timer and everyone to respect what the race director is instructing them to do. When I used to race 1/10 gas truck and 1/8 buggy there was segragated practice and it worked well even at big races. again it would have to be a matter of respect for each other.

Not trying to start an forum uproar here, nor lodge any type of complaint, but I wanted to know if think it would be possible to break up pre-race practice into 1/10 and 1/8?  The crossing race lines are a bit tough to pay attention to and may result in 1/10 carnage.  I could only imagine what a pain it would be to have someone police such a schedule while the track is being prepped, the heats are being created, and all the other pre-race logistics are being performed, but some close calls got me thinking this Saturday.  I do have to say most 1/8 guys were VERY respectful of the little cars out there during practice but there's only so much you can do sometimes.

Because of The Mother's day holiday observance for many of you, as Kevin has update the schedule to reflect, we will be running a dual program again on Saturday May 7th. Both Onroad and Offroad. Thanks and tell a friend
Really?

Bad cornering and bad behavior on the drivers stand work together to make things worse. Norcal day care can only do so much. Doing your part and setting a good example for others is about the most we can do. Otherwise face the fact that its wild wild west and your going to a gun fight.

Thanks for all the input. We will address as many of these issues as we can. I please urge anyone if you have any things you see that need attention to see Me or Eric so we arent discussing it after a possible incident. Your safety is our main concern and want to offer the best facility and interest we can provide.

Hicks. The RX8 is always in dual mode. If you have a sensor wire plugged in, it will start with sensor but if there is no sensor wire, it just runs sensorless. No settings to change.

There are definitely a couple spots on the new 1/10th layout that are a little hard to marshal.

The double double after the snake section is hard to find a spot where you can stand without getting in the driver's line of sight. Ask Tomas or DaPlumber. I squatted every time I worked that spot and my back isn't in the best shape these days. Maybe we should have the marshal on the outside of the second double instead of inside the line.

The double triple is a high action area. The back edge of the track falls away making it hard to stand off the track and you can't see the cars until they clear the double. Maybe Kevin can build up that area a little so the marshals have someplace to stand off the track.

I'm not complaining, just giving my feedback.

The new layout seems to be just as technical to drive as the short course. It definitely separates the boys (me) from the men. I couldn't quite get the timing of the jumps sections down. I really wish I could get to the track to practice.

Nice!. Thanks for taking the time to post this. I would have thought it was common sense too, however maybe it is a little more complicated for the novice turnmarshal and needs to be addressed like Jesse said. I think that on a track that has soo much to offer, the turnmarshals might need a little guidance on proper technique and positioning. It seems that on a very technical track like this, it could take a while to get everything sorted out (turn marshal positioning, safety, etc.) I don't know how it should be handled, but maybe it needs to be addressed in a drivers meeting, or simply remove the sections of the track that are notorioulsy hard to marshal or dangerous for the marshals.

All in all, I think it is an awesome track and eventually things will get sorted. Thanks for everyones input btw. -Jeff
