Center diff. The slipper setup is too harsh on the rear drivetrain. He also mentioned some machine cut gears that will match both ring and pinion gears for better lash and durability in the rear diff.He said he already has not had any rear diff issues since going to a center diff with 50000 wt oil. Tsurada's truck yesterday confirmed they are going in the right direction. No issues from what I can tell.
Really?

If anyone can, he can. I was watching liverc yesterday and lutz was doing an interview at the neo11 race. Dude is super nice. And he doesn't wear black socks!!!! Immediately goes to the top in my book.

Se all you youngins, you don't have to ware black socks to be fast.

By the way John, you said you talked to him about the durability issues...what is the fix for the durangos that he suggested to you?

Off road had great traction.. the sugar really tightened up the track.

only issue I have is drivers coming up on the drivers stand before the race was over.

I was still on the track after crossing the start finish line and two racers were standing there telling me to hurry and finish.     not only did the come up there after the race director told them not to  they did anyways.  I was stillo two laps to go and one one them was lined up for my spot and then started to talk distracting the hell of  the other drivers.

Keep off the drivers stand until we get off the drivers stand..   then give time to get our cars turned off and out to  marshall.

I didn't have time to get off the stand when one of the drivers started yelling to marshal his car.      Next time I wont touch your car until  im' good an ready.  I don't know what the hurry is,,  but this is not cool.

All I know is the heat the followed the 4x4 short course was already on the stand talking while we were still doing our heat!

If we did this to them they'd be screaming.  this is effed up.

@Thomas: As always its all good in the hood! SC main was a CF!! Frustrating for all!

@Everyone: Hey Turn marshal's lets see a little hustle out there!! How bout it! No finger pointing, im guilty , we are all guilty, lets just all have a lil pep in our step, no hands in pockets, picking your nose, slap d**kin around, pay attention, move as swiftly as possible, try as hard as possible to flip the car back onto its wheels, not back on its lid, and We all be happy! Lets face it, RC cars flip over from time to time (unless your Jesse Stark), some more than others, all something we have to deal with.

Ya buddy!

@Sagisi Thank you for finding the greatest paint color/name ever!

Your right Hot Rod sparkle, shame on me. Not sure what got into me last night. I try to stay positive and keep everything on a light note and throw some humor in. Just felt like saying what I was thinking instead of sitting back and watch. Sorry Rich.

I tried M3 Holeshots (stock foam), Blue barcode v2's (dual stage foams) and liked those a bit better, but like Hernandezezez =) said holy traction batman! I put scrubs and barcodes on the front and both worked nicely!

Now i'll actually go look at my lap times to see if any of that even makes sense lol!

Thomas... Thomas... Thomas..... Shame... Shame... Shame...

Question for Hicks. Looking at the race results, it shows everones first lap in the 3-5 second range. So everyone actually ran one less lap then what the results show. Looking at past results it doesn't show that irregularity. Is there a glitch?

I know I told a couple of people what I ran in 2wd open...First I would like to say that I built the B4.1 Box stock except for rebound because they don't tell you in the book...the reason why I say this is because when you choose a tire, u sometimes have to change your set up...well my thinking was "How can we contend with the new Losi 22"...my answer: Weight distribution...so on that note...I am 2 grams over the weight of the Losi 22, full rebound in the rear shocks and 1/2 rebound in the front shocks...I used JConcept Firm molded foams both front and rear...yes I used the 4wd front inserts...Proline Scrubs front M3...Proline Hole shots rear M3...I ran the same set of tires all day and in the Main....By the way...Kevin...Holy Traction man...Minimal tire wear...wow...somebody's listnin!!!! Keep up the good work Kev...Thanks to everyone who made the race possible yesterday...!

BTW Mike Huse, your no longer my Hero.

i know i have only been in this scene for a short time, but in that time i have met some people who talk the talk and those who walk the walk. rich is one of the one's who walks the walk. he is the first one to help out and when he turn marshall's he actually does it properly. by help out i mean offer a part or advice. he is not the kind of person who would make a suggestion for the sole benefit of himself.

while on the surface, it may make sense to group classes by scale, it might make more sense to mix it up. i have run back to back, and while it isn't ideal, i don't have to do it EVERY time like the 8th scale guys do.

a lot of times rich is a voice on here for a lot of people who have the same concerns that he does, but because he is the one to voice them, he gets crapped on. he offers suggestions or food for thought, and he gets personal attacks in return. this isn't the first time and hopefully it won't be the last (keep it up rich).

I appreciate the suggestion, however, I prefer to voice my suggestions in an open forum such as this. If I had a complaint, which i do not, I would communicate directly to Kevin or Eric.

I find more value in suggestions in a open forum so that others can also voice their point of view, such as Thomas. While i don't agree with him, his vote counts. By morning, for all I know, 5 others may read and say 'hey, yeah, i agree'.

I really doubt we would be running 1/8 truggy or 4wd sct in the noRCal series had i called up Hopper with the suggestion. The fact that others jumped in so quickly and voiced their support made that whole suggestion/decision/result and big success.

In the hands of adults, discussion can actually be productive. (is that what you mean by passive aggressive? Just looks like sarcasm to me)
