>>john i will try to come up andgive you a hand sunday i can't make it up there on sat . due to baseball with my son.

Coaching baseball... that's what I'm doing too this season. It's too bad since I want to race all the CORR classes with my trucks.

That's why it's battle time when I'm at the track during the week. Friday!

Yesterday I ran my Slash Platinum on the big 1/8 track. DAMN! I got 5 clean laps in even! These 4x4 are very capable and they can't really stretch out on the fun but tiny 1/10 track.

A bunch of my rc's (my kid's) will be on sale soon so I can buy a 1/8.

For the first race I ran bowties and goosebumps. The winner of stock was running stock Kyosho tires, Sawyer says Goosebumps. The track is that good! Driving decides the winner!

Thinking about coming down from Sacramento to race the Slash and 4x4, but was wondering what time you usually finish. Also what time does it start.

Will you be running 1/10 on Sunday again? I don't see any 1/10 races scheduled for Sunday. Just trying to figure out what I'm racing this summer. Thanks.

Well,I finally broke down and am going to build a Kyosho RT5 based SC truck.Joel Hernandez in the stock truck would have been competitive in OPEN so this will be the pimped version.I see you all racing and it's killing me but I need a class that's easy to work on while handling race directing duties.

What motors are you guys using?I was thinking about a Tekin RS combo with a Duo 10.5.Does this sound like a good combo?Help! Can't wait to get this thing going. Also what tires? Thanks in advance.

Really?

Why would you need to do that? If your talking about the Stock SC class,I would say no.

These are the specific rules we have always run. In it's infancy the local SC crowd were not racers. They were bashers. They already had hopups on their rigs so we allowed them as long as the electronics were not touched. There have been several people who have run the suspension and chassis you posted. The result? They ended up where they usually end up.More then likely, most intelligent people will just buy a newer competition level sc rig because they have options now where when this stuff came out or was being developed, there were few options out.As far as a one off design,if others can't buy it and it ends up being a distinct advantage, its not allowed to run.
Really?

Comments...

Open CORR:  All SC chassis mass produced for the purpose of SC racing may be used

Well I'm precluded from this class then.  I thought open was open as long as you use proper dimensions for the chassis, tires, body.  I was going to make a custom-built Slash-based chassis for Open but if it has to be "mass produced" then I'm out of the running.  That sucks.

allowance of swapping of motors between vehicles of different manufacturers

Fair enough.  So, who knows which motor is fastest?  I've heard "they're all pretty much the same."  I know better

Just to be clear, does "Aftermarket parts are allowed that are specific to the chassis ran" mean that we can put on any option we want on the car.  For example: protrac suspension, lcg chassis on the Slash?

> You are correct

Please, please, please seriously reconsider that.  Protrac suspension dramatically changes the suspension geometry of the Slash and dramatically improves handling.  It costs $60 and requires the use of specific Protrac wheels.  If a couple folks start using this setup in "Stock" class, everyone will have to use it to be able to compete.  Carbon fiber LCG chassis sets completely change the truck in a most dramatic fashion, and can cost $100 to $140.  They really should only be allowed in Open. This is what you're talking about putting on a "box stock," supposedly inexpensive, buy-it-and-race-it Slash:
