Has NorCal considered running 8th onroad? It would be another group of guys for the Nitro days. I think Speedworld has pretty good turnouts, is their track bigger? Just thinking outloud.

I put my 6.1 together over the Christmas break. It was a fun build, and went together well. Overall, I'm impressed so far. I've only had it around the track a handful of laps, but so far it's handling great!

Both cars are still TC6, just updated. The AE car is super quality no lie. With a good build it is very tuneable. There are some secrets and I will be glad to tell you after the Reedy.lol

There are alot of TC6's hitting the track at Norcal. Speedtech is offering a black version and Acer is offering one with ceramic bearings for practically the same price.

Norcal Hobbies is a business and right now, at least in entries, off-road is king. Part of the issue is that at this time running off-road is much cheaper than running on-road. I hope that if and when the economy gets better, on-road racing will return to its former glory. To that point i noticed the on-road division of a lot of the manufacturers did nothing to help their cause durring this time(no ready to race kits or RTR spec class kits). I miss on-road also but the industry did a lot of this to themselves...just sayin bawller

With Norcal having all this racing you can only be thankful! Turnouts are up in offroad for a variety of reasons, which is very cool. I love offroad! But this has been of lately, now its time to give onroad a chance instead of talking it down. There are quite a few racers still finishing up with carpet and we only had one race onroad that was announced a week before. I dont mind sharing the track but the Reedy race means alot. How ever it works out its going to be a great season of racing!

Agreed Steve.  You've help me more than you know it and you should cuzz you're a nice guy.  And b/c Bill has been helping me out also on this new car.

Hehe you know my kids.  I'm glad they are thrilled to watch offroad, they even turned marshalled last Saturday for a few.  That's why they have rc18s, wife wouldn't approve 3 trucks.  I'm afraid though that my 12-yr old may too old to be in the kids class.  What a site though if he can hang with the adults.  Big drawback is you guys race offroad on Sundays - wife and I work Sundays.  Can you pick him up on Sundays on your way to Norcal?  We live off 680.

That's it, you sold me!  I need tires for a Slash.  Heck, tell me what motor/esc is for the rookie 2wd trucks and I'll get a set.

Guys, sorry for the confusion but please be patient with the schedule. We are trying to create a Nitro Only Day with Electric 1/8th Scale and if It works it will be removed from some of the Electric Race Days. The Hard part is trying to get a big enough turnout to support a Nitro Only Day. They need Pit guys and 20 Entries isnt enough to support turn Marshalls and Pit Guys. Sometimes we have to try things to try and please everyone. I think this will be a success but time will tell.

Heres a Better place to get race info. http://www.norcalhobbies.com/content.php?135-Upcoming-Events-(short-version) click on the race day and theirs a fu;ll write up on what we are running

Ride..  just saying.. did you notice that there's two heats of novice new racers last week at norcal offroad?   Kids and adults alike..   I don't see any at onroad.

Not saying that its  bad.. its a fact!.

new racers grow the sport.. helping new racers feel at home, feel welcome and getting help setting up,  keeps them around and they tell their friends.
