I try not to post on forums anymore as I feel it is pointless and egotistical on my part to think that anyone gives a $hit about what I have to say. However, the front wheel drive class was created to make the cars as equal as possible and let the drivers be the only variable. Tim can out drive everyone, which is why he won. Did he slow down a couple of times, yes! But down the back straight, out of all four of the Saber cars, only OD had a car that was slightly faster at the end of the straight. Hung. If for some reason your Tamiya car is not as fast down the straight as the Saber, then we need to adjust the formula so the Tamiya car is just as fast. We don’t want this to be a single manufacture class. We can do that with gearing down the Saber cars or gearing up the Tamiya car. What we want is everyone finishing on the same lap with no driver having a mechanical advantage over any other driver. While my car was the slowest out there, it was fun finishing on the same lap with everyone and once I get my gearbox, sensor wire, gear diff, etc. figured out, I will give old Tim a run for his money. There were a couple of racers that came over to look at our cars after the main because they liked seeing everyone on the same lap with each of the drivers having a shot at winning!!

And James was tooling around the track in WGT at the same pace as me for most of the race.  Nice 2nd place.

Get the new chassis and you will be there!

So what are you Saying Hung? My car was the same speed down the stright as all the rest of the cars.  And yes you did see me slow down and wait a few times as when people crashed I waited for them to make a close race and the last 3 laps when Mike pulled away from the 3rd and 4th place cars he stayed about 5 feet behind me till he hit the corner and rolled over.

Had a great time today. Fun racing in the 17.5 NR class. My dad, Chris D, and I were all battling for 2nd place for almost the whole race. WGT was a blast too once I figured out the car and finished a run.

Id also like to thank Larry and Steve for the help today. Thanks guys!

Close racing, LMAO, was it my imagination or did I see Tim Copp slowing down to wait for the field more than a dozen times. I guess people will say what they want to say and see whatever benefits them.

Another great job at NorCal today props to John for nipping a problem in the bud for the FWD class. We want to keep this class about close racing like our main showed all cars on the same lap within 10 seconds from first to last!

I think the (wall) between the off road and on road will pay off in the long run.  With the off road track ever changing.  It will do wonders with dust control and rocks being flung by spinning off road tires with differant layouts.  Good work Kevin in trying to keep the place up and the new smoking area.  Almost makes me want to start smoking again (Not).  5 years comming up non smoking and 40+ extra wonderful pounds.  And again we know that some of the dust comes from the parking lot side.  Just saying!

Cool James!  I hope there will be as many WGT this week as there were last week.  Lots of fun, they were flying last week.  Hope to get mine that dialed!

I will donate RoundUp and a sprayer to spray the weeds around the on road track if someone will use it as needed and clean the sprayer so it remains functional.

I'll be showing up an hour or so earlier on my own time to prep and clean around the on-road track every morning from tues-fri. Sweeping and using the air blower to get out any debris or dust that might have accumulated from the evening and the wind. We are doing our best to keep all areas clean, but with such demands in the business and the needs of both customers and racers, it can get quite busy from time to time. Thanks for your patience.

Kevin: I don't think we have any employees that smoke.

Norcal New Smoking Section:

Cigartte Butts are getting out of control in our entrance area and walkway inside. So as a result we have adopted a new Smoking area and Policy. The new smoking area is outside the gate over near the tree. See picture below. Heres how smoking will be enforced. Three warnings. First time you are warned to smoke only in the designated smoking area, Second time you are warned to smoke only in designated smoking area and reminded its your final warning. Third time you are asked to leave and not return for the day or for whatever time we deam appropriate.

Here is picture of smoking area. You all know where it is. Its shaded most of the day has chairs and ash trays. I also challenge you to if you see an Norcal employee breaking these rules to let me or Eric know.

Please help keep Nor-cal Hobbies clean
