I hope we are not starting a big fight here but I have to agree with Bill 100%.  It seems to me that sharing the facility would include not getting dirt on the onroad track.  There were also quite a few dirt footprints on the asphalt between the off road tracks and the pits; the guys I saw doing it are people that know better.

The off road work has to be done. We not only have to share the track, we have to share the facility. I thought traction was better by the A's. Maybe it's just me?

+1 to novice. Good to see them out there!

Just wanted to take a moment to thank my friends for helping get closer to understanding these touring cars. Steve, and Larry you both never stop suprising me with the patients you show me, thanks for all the shwag (parts, tires, fans) my results certainly don't deserve this much support but it is appreciated. John Hicks thank you for putting in a second 8 hour day in a row with a flawless race program, I really enjoy your hard work. O.D. without your help I wouldn't be able to continue this hobby, your the best. Traction comes and goes but it sure is nice to have a world class track to race on, we are lucky to have it. Thanks to Kevin and Eric for creating a class for the new comer's I hope we see more Novice driver's giving NorCal a chance.

After being approached by a couple of on-road racers for my take on the traction conditions of the asphalt track this afternoon, we collectively concluded that the dirt movement being done on the big off-road track all day long was the cause for the poor traction in the PM.

With care, such dirt work probably can be done most mornings without significantly affecting the on-road track.  However, afternoons can be tricky when variable winds come up and there is on-road racing scheduled.  A bad combo.

Thank you.

Bill

It is infact Spec Tires for the record.

Grip should be good (great) come saturday for practice.   Still experimenting with the process/cocktail.  We shall see.

Nope, WGT is spec tires.  I'm sure there is cheating since no one enforces the rules, but it's supposed to be Lilac spec tires

Peppy, as far as I know. WGT is an open tire class at NorCal unless its a ROAR sanctioned event.  BTW, I just posted some 13.5 motors in the classified section if you're interested.

WGT is a Spec tire class the compound is lilac different manufacturer's used different ways to show that. Jaco was the first to "mark" their compound by using the carbon fiber wheels others use a color stripe in the foam. Long story short carbon pattern wheels are O.K. for club racing. I have 13.5 Thunder Power available and will be racing on Sunday. O.D. will be running his Rebel 10 in WGT.
