That's a really good idea.  Put the general rules and basic class rules on a sign somewhere near the track.  And a big sign that says "Black Can Paragon Only!"

I dont care what the rule is. I just think everyone should be on the same page with sauce, ride height and rules. Might be a good idea to have a very obvious sign with the general rules at the drivers stand so not only racers, but also hobbyists on non-race days can all police themselves for the good of the track.

White can is for outdoor, rubber tire usually. Mixing or allowing many different compounds usually leads to strange or lack of traction after the track becomes saturated with it.Jack the gripper and Paragon Ground Effects don't mix well. The original black can stuff, although smelly,is the best option.
Really?

Hey, Eric and everyone else for that matter. We have to pick one brand and model number of traction compound that will be allowed on the new carpet. If we start mixing traction compounds, the new carpet will turn into a grease pit. Been there and seen it happen several times before. Because most of us were using black can Paragon, we should stick with that as it might be too late to change now. Eric, it’s your call but I highly recommend committing to the black can Paragon.

FYI, Schedule has been updated.we are moving onroad racing to Saturdays  in December to better align ourselves for the Winter Programs. We should be putting the final touches to the indoor track this week. Hope you all liked and had a good time.

What a blast! The new layout is so sweet and the carpet is seamless, very consistent. Lex put us a lap down, but with Garza pushing hard it wont be long until it tightens up. Solaris med in front and soft in the rear worked well! Mod 1/12 scale was way fun. Took a minute to get things figured out, but well worth it.

What a great facility!! NorCal has always had it all with a world class paved track, two world class off road tracks and a carpet track. But after today, the carpet track is now world class. Looks like a carpet track right out of Europe!!

Thanks NorCal for providing racers with such a wonderful facility. I can't wait to get back for more!!

Whats the race schedule next weekend?  I've been itching to race but football took over my weekends.  I'm not sure if I should prep my Carpet Knife or my Yokomo buggy.

+1 on tire wear. On top of that, the track is very foam tire friendly with the grassy in field. Last season, I chunked at least one set a race day on the boards. I don't have a single chunk in any of my tires. Shayne had some baby chunks.

Great day at NorCal on da rug.  Cannot believe that they received the carpet on Tuesday and had it installed for us to race on today.  Fabulous job guys.

NorCal even gave a driver's clinic on Saturday to boot.  That's progressive thinking.

One interesting thing about running my new CRC WGT was that I had hardly any wear on my spec tires.  Never rotated the tires or brushed out the body during the day...And that was after 3 practice runs, 2 qualifiers and the race...Amazing.

See ya next Saturday...if that is what is decided.

Bill
