Well, guess I'm gonna have to put my TC together.  Might need to get in on this Reedy Race action.  Someone has to be the backmarker!

We are actually going to be testing a few layouts saturday and the track will be prepped race style. By the end of Saturday and Sunday we will know the Reedy layout we will be setting up before Reedy. So saturday is practice only but the track is going to have some short down times while we try other variations.

ABR,gotta call you on that one.You have all the latest technology except for your radio system.I told you this 6 months ago.Other people who pay to play have the right to run their updated 2.4ghz radios.Unfortunately,I suspect your issue like Jaimes and many others is that you run old stuff that is going to be effected by standing near someone with a very powerful new gen 2.4 system.
Really?

What ever happened to radio restrictions? With 11 on the onroad track racing and 5 on the 1/10 track practicing and 4 on the 1/8 track and 2 in the parking lot and 2 in the pits. You are asking several guys to spend when we never had a problem until so many radios were on at the same time.

Since there is no On-road race this weekend at Norcal, anybody planning on running TC & 12th scale at HobbyTown Fremont on Sunday?  Racenut is doing the traction so you know it'll be pretty good.

27mhz & 75mhz probably have cleaner air space now that most have moved to 2.4Ghz.

With so many 4pk's and M11x's popping up lately,it's only a matter of time before the older Spektrum issues effect everyone still using that crap.Happened at RCX this year, happened to others at a big offroad race held indoors this year and last.Heck Jaime is running the original gray Spektrum Module and receiver and I was driving it and it glitched on the far left hand side entering the straight and then went full throttle into the right hand side barrier board because it browned out at full throttle. No steering,no nothing.Mini was not the only guy with issues in the last 3 onroad race days .
Really?

Antenna diversity is cool and all that but I run Synth Futaba 75mhz gear in all my Giant scale stuff.

My Airtronics Rep told me the FHSS-3 M11X (the current one) has something like a 1200 yard range, averages 4ms response and will run as fast as 2ms response under the right conditions! That's pretty frickin awesome!

If that's not fast enough, you can use the new SSR Receiver with the new SSR servos and AEVERAGE 2ms with spikes less than 1ms!!!  WHAAAAAAT!!!

>> would the airotronic dsm be a stronger signal <<

Airtonics uses FHSS (Frequency Hopping) just like the Futaba FASST.  I believe the Spektrum uses DSSS (locks into 1 or 2 channels in wide band).  There is a reason why Spektrum makes you buy 3 slave receivers with two antennas each if you want insurance for your $15k jet and Futaba uses only one RX with two antenas.  The Futaba car RXs also uses antenna diversity.
