I'm in for USGT and 17.5 TC. Hoping there will be a VTA class for my friend coming up with me.  - Jason

Is Setup at 7:30 or 8:oo am? I'm in for Sportsman 17.5 NR TC, maybe F1, and is there any interest in the Tamiya Mini M-03, M-05, M-06 cars? Eric, when will the RCFIA schedule be announced? See you on Saturday.

Yo steve-o! Sedan mod is more your pace! Or 12 scale!  Stockton opend up the carpet track. I know it's a bit of a drive for you. The popular fast guys run 17.5 sedan and mod. Or get another offroad car a 4wheel this time and run mod. You will have a lot of fun!

Hey guys,
been thinking of purchasing an on road car to have more stick time. I heard that sedan mod is not that big these days. What should I get?
Thanks
Steve Perez

That motor is okay for starting out, it is smooth, not too fast, but will most likely get motored on the straights. If you're on a strict budget and must go new, then its not a bad price for that package. Once you get the hang of racing, you can always upgrade the motor later as your skills increase.

Scroll down for USGT rules. It uses 21.5 motors for the class.

Which SP 17.5 motor is it? Hopefully it is adjustable timing, the fixed timing ones are a bit down on power. Not saying you need the latest and greatest for 17.5 sportsman but there are big performance differences between certain motors.

17.5 TC follows roar rules. As long as you have a ROAR approved sedan body, blinky ESC, and motor, 1380g weight minimum, you should be good. Bring your buddies out, you all don't need to have all your gear sorted out right away. They are able to run in the rookie class. We haven't had too many new faces at the on-road races in a while.
