I think the Cup Racer is out.  After looking at the pics of the chassis I doubt that I could stuff one of my Lipos into it. The leads on my packs are on the top face of the pack.  It doesn't look like it would fit very well if at all.

That being said every time I see the TCs running on the track at Nor-Cal it makes me itch to try my hand at them.  What do you guys recommend as a good TC?  I was looking at a used Losi JRXS Type R (I'm partial to Losi stuff for some reason) or maybe a brand new XRay T2R pro.  At the moment I don't have the funds for a brand new top of the line TC.  Also what class would I race in being a rookie to on road?  I currently have a 13.5 brushless set up, but I know that I'd be in way over my head in that class.

I have the itch to go buy a Cup Racer today. My LHS had a 510 in stock last time I was there.  I see the Silver can is a only motor for 4WD minis at the TOP Gun shoot out, is that pretty much the standard motor for racing them?

I've had my eye on getting a HPI Cup racer.  With all of this talk of a cleaned and repaired carpet track is anybody thinking of running a class for them?  Or is there one already?  Maybe run outdoor?

Some of us will be working on the carpet track starting this weekend, it needs a lot of work so it may take a week or so to get it up and running.  It will be great for those of us going to the IIC in Sept to get some carpet wheel time

Summer is not usually the time to start carpet racing so we don't expect a lot of interest other than the IIC guys.  Thats why it was such a surprize to hear that the carpet track is being set up.  Huge thanks to Norcal for making this happen just so we can get some practice!   Even if you are not going to Vegas, come on out and try the rug, maybe we can set up a few practice race days.  There should be a regular carpet race program come Fall/Winter.  Pan Car time oh yeah

Yes, on road racing on the rug!

Get those 1/12th scales out guys, we had a blast last year   Let's start with 1 cell 17.5 (Stock) and when we have enough entries start up a Super Stock (13.5) class.  One cell WGT will be awesome on this track, come on out for some close racing.

The place looks different now. Looks like a tornado came through the shop. Seems like those natural disasters appear when Eric leaves the shop. Anyone smell smoke?

Can't wait to try out 1/12th scale again. Time to go through my stuff and update some equipment.

The indoor carpet track has been cleared of the off-road jumps.

I will probably bring my home vacuum cleaner with me on Sunday to commence with the cleanup process.

Yeeeeeeeeeee...ha!

Oh no ... one could never get too tired or be too old for Disneyland.     I try to get out there twice a year.  One time I ran into Dominic F. outside of Space Mountain.

Hey Ron read a few posts below regarding the 1/12th scale setup info and tire compound that OD and rccarmaverick posted. Good info on tire selection and 1S lipo.

On a side note: Ron, I'm gonna try to beat your score at Toy Story Mania. What was it again 330,000? I'm going there to get my turkey leg fix. Hey Ben, how's them turkey legs?
