So how do we turn marshal if we can't step on the track? I can see turn marshaling on the sides, but what if someone get caught in the middle portion?

Enough of the asphalt talk for now....New layout is in.Thanks to Kevin for the new boards,Tim Copp,Romel,Hernandez, and anyone else I may have missed who helped. Please do not run your offroad cars on the carpet track. No exceptions.I should have the carpet track ready for use by about 4pm if anyone is interested in getting some track time tomorrow.Track will be open on Saturday for practice but the offroad guys will get preferencial treatment when it comes to indoor pit space.I will warn one last time.Any Offroader who steps on the carpet track for ANY reason, will be asked to leave for the day.Be considerate please.

Doesn't that track get more traction at night? Is that because of the cold? Sauce? Or mist? Or all? Would a prepped winter track have crazy traction? Who knows? We would have to prep it to find out.

Who said TC is dead.....its the dead of winter and these guys want it.  I love TC but our program is in between right now, so dont count on us. When the time is right we will hit it in a big way. As far as you guys....more power to you.

The cold doesn't bother me

I just don't like having to change all of my setups to run on carpet.

Bout time you showed up Gonzo.

I hate carpet but I'll run it if that's the only choice I have.

Asphalt!!!! it's my favorite as well!!  Open that thing up, and it will be the only thing keeping me from going to Tahoe for the weekends.  I'll definitely support as many Sundays as possible for outdoor on road.

Onroad asphalt is my favorite for sure, but I'd rather we don't dilute our local racing pool more. My vote is keep it carpet until more tracks are back in gear for outdoor onroad season and people's race programs are ready for it. That gives the guys who don't run offroad a place to play but won't split up the norcal scene even more. I'm planning offroad only until Feb or so. Once the tracks all get geared up for asphalt season I'll shift gears back to onroad and fit in a little play in the dirt on non-onroad racedays.

Looks like I have Larry Chiu & Johnny Ho & his crew coming on Sunday. Elazar & I will be there too. I'll run carpet this Sunday if we have too, but after that I'm going to shelf my TC. I just picked up a Durga, so I'll run that. Really sucks that TC has gone down hill.

Still in that straight off-road mode homie, naw mean?

I'll tell you what, you gather up a few cats who want to run mod, then you'll see me get excited about on-road again. Anything less than that, like Blind Rob I can't see it.

The nor-cal on-road layout desperatly needs a change. That will spark good interest, but like Hicks was saying it's just tough to do asphalt racing this time of year.

I dont care.If you all want to run outdoor,it can be done on Sundays the same day we run Carpet.Very easy. The track will need to be blown but not sprayed.RP 24's and CS22's and Sorex 24 or even 20's will work, but you will have to setup your car to work.Any more?

Make it 6 guys. I still have a job after 2 rounds of layoffs...so what the hell, I will dust off my touring car and start racing again. Get ready for a beat down in chinatown!

Hack-passes...one day I will perfect this technique.
