Opinions are like a$$holes ... everybody has one.
Offroad every weekend is awesome. you can have onroad on friday nights or sunday.Offroad will bring more poeple out why?
if you can't make it every weekend thats no big deal your not in a points series why should you care.
I applaud the cohones that it takes to do this.. and we should all bring a newbie as soon as possible. show them what a good time it is!

I would personally enjoy it more if they raced off-road everyweek. Touring car is tough right now since there aren't really any good pre-mount tires available that work well at Nor Cal. At least with off-road tires ARE available. The shop can make money off that instead of selling no touring car tires. Seems like a good business move from that view. It seems that around 60% or more of the guys that were racing on-road exclusively have now purchased at least 1 off road car. Also, Marin races On-Road as well....so theres a choice for the On-Road only people.
Are many people really going to race both touring and off road multiple classes in the same day? Maybe for a few race days til they wise up and see that its too tough to do that consistantly. A good combined race day will probably wind up with 100-110 entries....of which 65 or so will be off road of some typle.
The track issue is a different one. Yes, the track will get tore up more. That's a fact. Who's gonna work on it ? Any takers? If you wanna work on the track, I will show up. Put thats just my vote.

Hey John, I have an opinion on this and you guys can take it for what it's worth. Racing offroad every weekend just seems a bit much. Instead of two target days a month where we are getting solid turnout now, I think that will change. My general feeling where this would go would be "less turnout more burnout".
With racing doubled it means 2x the track maintenance as well. I know KJ is gung ho but is he on board? The track is sick now and I'd hate to see the quality have any potential of dropping. It is also cool having you back and calling and running races because you have a clue and know what you are doing. It sure would suck for you to burnout too
Personally I'll only be able to make 1-2 races a month anyways so it won't really affect me but it sure would be a bummer if the one weekend I choose to show up and the big turnout weekends happen to be on some other cycle or they fade a bit. As much as it sounds great to get a guaranteed spot in the "A", I didn't ride to school on the short bus and am quite happy earning my spot, even if that is lower down the alphabet.LOL
I am in the process of rebuilding my touring car and am looking forward to running that sometimes too at NorCal but there is no way in heck I would dream of trying both on a combo day. That just sounds like a coronary waiting to happen... for you
BTW, why in the heck would I send you e-mail? That's as bad of a black hole as some of the corporate e-mail boxes like email@example.com

Friday - 12:00 to end of on-road racing that night*
Sat - 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (off-road race days)*
Sun - 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (updated times per Roy)*
*Note: Roy may close the track early on any day that customers don't justify his staying open.
Who will be the next Matt Francis, Nick Martinez, Javier Arroyo...?
