Hummmm, I don't have any set ups for an RB6. At least not for outdoor onroad. Maybe check out the off road thread.

We'll have to just ask drivers please not to lean forward during a race on the drivers stand. Remember to bring it up during the drivers meeting.

For my followers, iI don't know what to race. Buggy on Sat? Your input...

I dont have a height problem either, but people still lean out and block my view. or I am blocking their view. we just have to live with it.

There are people following everything I say here on this forum, don't know why. So if I talk about stupid stuff, I am messing with them, haha.

Anyway, long straight keep it simple/fun. I think the only problem is that the drivers stand cannot be far back enough away from the track but it is what it is. I don't have a height problem ;-)

Yah! what Dan said. If the track is shorter straight away speed will not be fun.

Maybe we should try a smaller layout? I think the right sweeper is where most people are having problems seeing?

Problem is the drivers stand is really tall, packed left to right, and exactly on the edge of the track. You're going to have people leaning to see both ends of the straight.

For what it's worth, I've run on a few track layouts this year with front straights at RAMS and in off-road. It didn't prove to be any more unsafe than having a back straight in my experiences.

I liked Joey's layout as is.

Maybe we don't need that long of a straight? Just a thought.

Why not just flip the track 180 degrees. Same layout, problem solved.

Straights in front of the drivers stand is dangerous taking into consideration the height of the drivers stand.

the best tracks make use of close in for the more difficult areas easy parts like straights should be farther away. I built hundreds of layouts when I was at the RAMS club and these land missiles can do tons of damage.

we never had straights in front of the drivers stand.. a straight where high speed is a factor a driver should be able to see the whole straight from end to end just in case these something or someone blocking the track.

I can make it on the 16th. I need tires for my GT car though. Does anyone have a spare set that they can depart with? I cannot find them anywhere......

I like it! We've done a front straight at New-Cal before, and it works great as long as there's a little room between it and the drivers' stand. I also think it'll be interesting to have a chicane over on the right where there's always just been the sweeper.

That's a good layout but...the straight should never be in front of the driver's stand. It's just my preference.

That will be interesting with the straight in front of the drivers stand.  Kind of looks like an old Norcal track.
