Made it to the track this Sunday, first time since the new layout.  It is awesome.

I have been running at DeltaRC for couple of years (3 winter and 2 summer seasons), and seen a number of different layouts.  This is my favorite!  Now I just need to learn how to navigate the first corner.  That sucker is slick.

Thanks.

Has anyone tried clay tires on 4 wheel buggy? I've been running m3 holeshots and they are good but I have a nasty push at the end of the front straight and the s turn before the front doubles to triple.

Heads up 17.5 Racers!!! With the growth and high competition level of the 17.5 buggy class we want to do our best to ensure people are playing fair. We will be doing random tech at all series races on the 17.5 buggies. Here is what we plan to check and where the info can be review on the roarracing website.

1. Roar approved 17.5 motor

http://www.roarracing.com/approvals/print_brushlessmotors.php

2. Roar Approved Blinky mode ESC

http://www.roarracing.com/?page_id=737

3. Minimum Weight (1499grams)

http://www.roarracing.com/downloads/2010_ROAR_Rule_Book.pdf (PAGE 55)

4. Max battery Voltage (8.5v) Tested with our meter. You may verify your chargers vs our volt meter at anytime as they may vary slightly. If you come up to tech and your battery is over 8.5 its an auto DQ. No chance to burn it off.

http://www.roarracing.com/?p=1130

I will have a table setup near the announce booth and all 17.5 buggies will have to pass through the tech area as the race director dictates. I will be there in the morning and will try and pre-tech all 17.5 buggies before hand to make sure everyone knows whats going on. Tech will be done before the mains as well. This is not a roar national and we are not going to check every single detail. Mainly the 4 items noted above. Hopefully this will help ensure that everyone is on a level playing field as much as possible. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT!

Hopper
