Went out on Saturday and ran some nitro buggy on the track with the few that showed up. It was really fun! I wasn't too sure about the sugar, so I just brought out some old tires and ran them. I've never felt my nitro hooked up like that! Now I know what too much steering means!! Hopefully we can schedule some races in the near future and build some momentum for a good turnout. I really miss running 1/8th scale at Delta, it's really the only "Local" track left.

Ah gee thank there Clint,

I knew I could count on you.  You gave me better service than you guys got at that resturant in Chico.  LOL.

The ROAR thing doesn't matter to me that much.  I have mine, but figured I'd ask before somone else does.  I know a couple guys from Reno that might want to make the race, but for sure don't carry a ROAR membership.

Jesse,

ROAR membership?  Why so?  I only ask because I don't remember if it was required last year for the Kings race, and I don't think it's ever been required for racing at Delta (unless that's a new change, haven't been down there in a while).  Plus I don't think many are current members (just a guess on my part could be wrong on that), so if people aren't currently a member, but wish to attend, will there be singleday/single event memberships available at Delta?

Jesse, are the plans to run this on the big track or small track? Tire choice is the same just wondering because the small track will require more tires.

The older I get the faster I used to be.

Easy Big Jay easy. I'm not sure what you are getting at. I haven't seen 10 hr race days in some time, most clutches last an easy gallon of fuel these days (3-4 race days) and some of my favorite nitro races are at night.

We ran some practice today. That's some serious traction. Thanks to Ken and the DRC crew for giving us a track to run on, completely different experience that took some getting use to, but any tire works and even better when slicked out. The wore out blockade x2's worked well. All 's here and all that were there all 's too

@ frank L. ........its a choice for some of us ; 8-10hr day in the 90'+ heat and sun ,sweat , headache and dry heaves and worn clutch that i have to replace every other race day

or ; 7 hr night race with temps in the 70's , excellent track conditions (no water needed), baldie tries ,ball diffs that last for a month ,BBQ and cold beer

not a hard choice

only thing good about nitro is ;..........................DRIVING

With a 4 day preview and absence of even a single promotion post I'm suprised you got that many to show for 1/8.

There will be plenty of time to get the big track ready, the 1/8 turnout I'm assuming will be small. I know there was talk earlier in the week of possibly running on the 1/10 side but I've communiated with Ken within the last 24 hours and I believe were racing on the big track. Nobody wants to run on the small side so we need to do what it takes to get the big track ready.
