Lol. Todd you always get your panties in a wad way too easy. When you start winning races in this class you can talk. If you keep crying to Kraig every time someone makes contact with your truck you might as well pit in the scoring tower.

The older I get the faster I used to be.

That's great Dennis beat philiop ,but Dennis isn't the one that called me out with the baby powder . Mr kevin was the one talking powder and diapers . I'm just glad that I used the baby power with actions and not words , because actions are way stronger then words lmao

Todd, we're just hoping if we let u finish top 3 u won't sell it in 2 weeks or trade it for something else. You're just lucky Dennis wasn't there. He beat Phillip you know.

As for improving... Garrett only beat me by 17 seconds last race, which is a lot better than the 1-2 laps he usually beats me by (lol). That was the first race with my new SCTE. It was Losi vs Losi, so no more advantage for him. We took 1st and 2nd, so it was a nice race. He's moving up classes next race, so hopefully it's my turn to start winning!

Oh, I didn't put up with Associated very long (just 3 races). I sold it and bought a Losi SCTE and absolutely love it. I thought my Slash 4wd was solid. The Losi is a beast.

Belive me Chuck, I have gone through what you are experiencing. And yes I did have those type of mounts in the past. It just really did not help in the long run.

You have to be very sure they are mounted correct or it will limited the action. Sometimes the plastic is in the way and rubs. When you crash hard they may not come off. But if they get bent or out of shape they wont work freely. Even worse, pull the threads out of the hole or break off inside.

Every week your getting better. Just keep practicing on driving clean. play follow the leader with Garrett and try to not pass him but chase him. See how close you can run without taking eachother out. and trade back and forth.

The better you get the less parts you will break.

But keep lots of spare parts on hand! Its so much easer said than done.

All I can say is I didn't break the chassis even with all the spills my car has taken, it took a losi brick with a crappy driver to break my chassis.

(Rick)Phantom, I wouldn't even go there, when was the last time that losi brick finished a race without breaking.

The rocket city or nelson type links will work. However, there has to be a weak point or something else is going to break. Your turnbuckle may not come off but you may break a servo. I have found that the grey losi ends or the rpms work great. But if one does come off, REPLACE it right away! remember they will only be good for a few on & offs. Once they get loose they all suck. Buy a bunch and change them often is my advise.

I heard Rick was making a cool wind chime from all those broken chassis'

@losilover. yes i too am on the dark (fast) side as i am running a 22 buggy. you know, that one with the hard anodized chassis that doesn't break. as for your ball cup issues, sometimes you can use a h.d. pivot ball link and thru bolt it w/lock nut.examples are rocket city (n.a.) nelsons (n.a.) or Dubro,part#2262 (for 4-40) @krak ho, sorry for running up into you all the time,as i have no hand-eye coordination any more and my car is too fast. you might want to pull over or get a faster car. sorry about your chassis, but save me that broken chassis, and i'll put it into my drawer with a couple of mine, keith's ,todd's, and terry o's. do you want brannon's number to get a RCRD chassis (guaranteed not to break).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              PHANTOM RACING

Tell you what don't use ball cups, use a connector and screw the turnbuckles in hard. See how much you break. The only reason a ball cup comes off without wrecking is if it's worn. But what do I know. "

That explains everything... Thanks Doug!

Do Losi buggies have those ball caps like the Associated? Steve's explanation of them designed to pop off rather than breaking parts is BS. I have seen a lot of people (including myself) have those darn things pop off during a race for no apparent reason (even the RPM ones). They might be lighter and easier to work on, but durability is more important IMO. I'm not trying to bash Associated. Every brand has pros and cons.
