How about no open toe shoes when corner marshalling? Saw a guy in flip flops cornering last week.

The older I get the faster I used to be.

Never heard that policy. Either way I'd have no problems cornering for my kid.

Its been our policy that parents have to corner for their kids for quite a while now. Of course the parents keep sending their young kids out to corner and we have not been enforcing it much. It really stumps me how people can send their very young kids out to corner while they themselves are perfectly able and not doing anything at the time. I don't have kids though so I guess I dunno.

I agree however that not only is it potentially dangerous, it often can lead to a car being on its lid a little longer than usual. I'll speak to Kraig this week and we will tighten up on our own policy. Thank you all for bringing it up so we can address it asap.

As a parent we really need you guys to step up and marshal for your kids. I volunteer marshaled about 8 or 9 heats last Saturday night in order to keep the program moving fast. You can certainly do it for your own kids safety. Thank you for your help.

As a parent, when my boy (9yrs) has to corner I always point out the parts of the track where I do not want him cornering. There are some safer spots for kids to corner and I don't ever recall my kid having to corner 4wd SCT at Delta or NorCal.

On the new layout, the kids should definitely stay out of the middle, on the back fence behind the new jump and at the end of the front straight.

I agree about the kids. I almost hit a kid that couldn't have been more than 5 years old on the end of straight a way. I think everyone is frustrated with the kids turn marshalling. I think the parent and or adult the child is with should be out there, not the child. Too much liability in them getting hurt. These cars fly ...someone is going to get nailed. Many tracks state that, no children on the track turn marshaling. The adult must do it.

I agree way to much chance of someone getting hurt. Probably would be a good idea for any kids to have a parent corner for or with them.

the kids should have a parent with them cornering, especially later in the night when they are getting sleepy                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             PHANTOM RACING

Agreed on the reverse order 2nd heat start. Also, I would suggest changing the race order so the little kids don't have to marshal for 4x4 sct. There is a lot of mayhem in a full main of 4x4 and I saw a few kids get knocked down this week. They just don't have the experience to be out there with the big trucks. Especially with some big jumps on the track. I don't want to see any of them get knocked in the head by a 6lb truck.

I don't know if this can be fixed, but with racing starts we start the first heat in random order. The second heat is lined up by how you did in 1st heat. It's not really fair. Can't we line up second heat in reverse order? If you start in the first position heat one you have a slight advantage. If you start first heat in position one you should start in back in heat two. The mains should be done the way it is, by best times . Not the heats.

I know the starting order is done by order of sign up . Maybe if that is even done by random order, that way the same guys aren't alwys up front.

There must be a way to fix this. Just want it fair.
