most racers have their radios set up so you can use the full throw of the trigger instead of trying to move the trigger a millimeter to control speed.

Using expo and setting end points. Using this will take away the on off feeling of your vehicle and feel like the power curve is more linear. Making it easier to control speed and travel distance over jumps.

I couple tips from Jesse Stark on this and now my cars are much easier to drive and not so much of a light switch.

For my Slash 2wd, I have fun WAY overpowering it with a Castle 4pole sct setup (3800kv). Geared about the same as stock Slash, it never gets warm, has stupid power, runs for 40 minutes on a pack, and matches everything else out there for top speed too. If you can get traction, it'll get to that speed instantly too LOL.

I've always been one that would rather have excess power and not squeeze the trigger all the way except for a spot on the straight, mainly because it is fun, even if not the most controlled effectiveness.

I'd suggest an 8.5 or a 7.5 if you want to get silly. A 6.5 is a real handful.

it depends. if you're running 17.5 buggy where you are running first, right after the track gets watered, holeshots gum up too quick. by the time it gets to mod buggy, holeshots are great.
