Steve,I wouldn't mind trying oval sometime but the thought of not having a 1/10 offroad track bums me out. Offroad is like mini moto which is part of why I like it so it so much.

@todd I am not clowning oval just saying this is not an oval thread is all.

Kozo and Donnie, i will let u both drive my Nitro sprint one day and i bet u will be asking were to get one. Dont forget u have to drink a coors light right before and u have to wear a wife beater while driving. Lol

I didnt mean to turn this into an oval thread i was just trying to be funny and mess with Hopper. But there seems to be some demand for it.

in case you didn't know,an 1/8 scale Late Model body will drop right on to an SC10 chassis and looks sick. will probably fit all SCT's. makes you wonder.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             PHANTOM RACING

Kev, u gotta see how the track prep is now. They seal the dirt and once its sealed its good for a season with minor patch work. That seems to be the normal routine for dirt oval tracks now. It takes most of the maintenence out of the picture and gives u tons of track time.

Main thing is someone would have to commit to prepping it for race days like Ledonne SR used to do. Not a 5 minute job. He used to spend all day Friday dialing it in until it was perfect. Would be great for the kids and new guys to learn RC on though. I can see a big kids class and 2 wheel and 4x4 SC being popular.

The older I get the faster I used to be.

Kev, i remember when u started running ur gas truck on the oval. That was alot of fun. Im not sure if there is enough people in our area right now that have dirt oval cars but with enough promotion it could be just like old times, if there was an oval track. Lol there does seem to be alot of requests for it though. Only time will tell. Lol

I used to run the Friday night oval races about 10 years ago and I think we averaged about 60-70 entries every week. Not sure if there is still that many people around that would run it on a consistent basis and make it worth while to build a track.

The older I get the faster I used to be.
