The back step up jump needs adjusting. It's at a bad spot on the track. Doyle mentioned removing the pipe for better visual, that might work and be an easy fix. Or chop it down a foot so its more of a low profile step up. It was also shooting cars off the track and over the back wall because the visual was so bad. Also the double after that jump, the lip is inconsistent. Just needs some more feathering out and it will be fine. Not a big deal, the track is great. Just make a few refinements. Jelich and myself did this all the time. We build a track and sometimes a jump here or a feature there does not turn out like you planned. You learn from it and make the right changes and track comes out even that much better next time out.

I never voice my opinion on message boards about concerns I have for a track. I always talk to the person in charge by phone or in person. In this case, I don't have Kraig's number or Terazano's either. I also don't have Ken Johns number.

I also think racers need to be reminded to relax and have fun. No yelling on the driver's stand, if you are not having a good time during the 5 minutes you are up on the driver's stand then maybe you are in the wrong hobby? Just my 2 cents.

150 entries last Saturday with Factory caliber driver's in attendance every week, this is obviously a great venue to race at for 2014. Keep up the good work and I love the core of locals Delta has, all great people.

I agree with Buttercup. Sure the track was not ideal for everyone with tires coming off the track caked in dirt but its racing. It was the same for all us, and it created for interesting turns of events throughout the day. The grip was amazing all day and provided for some of the most fun racing I have had in 2wd in a while. Thanks to everyone at Delta for providing a track for all of us to race on during the rainy times of the year!

The track is plenty smooth - lol

The conditions were very tough but Kraig and crew worked their butts off for us to have the best possible track I commend them for their efforts.

Track was extremely hooked up! It was amazing and fun!

I like the track but onthe top of the step up it needs the pipe cut in half so we can see our cars a lil better and the str8 needs to b a lil smoother other than that dialed.

I agree with Buttercup and rePete, but want to add that I could not see the face of the big jump on the back straight. I did not mind the small double afterwards, but i know from being in the pits that it was a point of contention. The conditions were not the best, but it was the same for everyone.

I agree with you RcPete. Too much complaining. It was not the best of circumstances but it still was racing which is better than anything else as far as I am concerned. It was said by someone that it was a strange day. I agree with the completely. People were in very strange moods and not showing respect to others all day long. We as racers have got to start showing respect to our fellow racers and if we do that, then when there are other circumstances that show up like a really muddy track then it was be so bad. But, everyone wanted to complain about the track before they got on it. Then they really started to bitch after they got on it. Then came the really bad attitudes from many different people on the driver's stand and so on.

Aren't we all there to have fun? If so, then stop complaining and start enjoying yourselves!

This is the first year that DRC has used Calcium in the arena track. Calcium basically sucks in moisture from the air. We had like 80% humidity Sat? They just misjudged the amount of water to put on the track the night before. Its easy to do using the Calcium. So far this is the first week that we haven't had almost perfect track conditions and considering what happened it wasn't that bad.

I probably shouldn't express my observation/opinion (pretty new to racing) in fear of alienating folks, but WTF.

Adapt!!!

I, for one, am very grateful for DRC running a winter series in a controlled environment.  There are folks in other parts of the racing world that are out for few months due to weather.

Holly crap, was there a lot of complaining.  I was one of those at first, until I found my appreciation for the situation.  I guess it was something to talk about.  Were the conditions inconvenient?  Sure.  Beats not having a place to run.

Now, maybe next time we can do a track change before a nitro weekend...

Love you guys; don't hate me.
