Hopper runs the oval program so he does the results. Kraig does the offroad results.

It is a bad starting grid all together. Start the race next time on the back straight! I was on the short end of the start as well in my main! Drifting a golf cart and expecting it to have smooth surface. Good luck!

IMO nobody should be passing until after the 180. Just kind of a respect thing.

The mud in the eye was worth seeing Hopper sideways in that golf cart though!

Yes Hopper was doing 360's in the golf cart around the oval, slinging mud into the eye's of unsuspecting racers in the pits. It was his fault for sure!

As a RD (and a fairly new one at that)  I would have restarted that race, yellow and blue truck to the back with a 5 second wait on the restart.  It is hard to make those calls when live sometimes, but after seeing the video, butternuts doesn't seem to be at fault, just a pile-up in a 180 on the start.  But I'm sure Hopper was to blame somehwere, for something, at sometime!!  LOL

I'm not so sure the grid being staggered would have helped. Everyone has to funnel into the first turn, Everyone wants to get to the front in one corner. usually ends bad.

Not sure, haven't raced that much yet, but the in-line start probably had a lot to do with it.  I think a staggered grid, like on the previous layout, was better.  Am I wrong?

My round, SCT Inter A-main, had the similar issue.  Started 3rd, got rammed by person in 4th causing huge pile up.  Left the first corner second to last.

as far as commin' out here ,yea..my bad .. hopper led me into it lol . some times i am known for shootin from the hip

you would think that after 30 years of R/C, rick would have more common sense than he displays , i dont htink he let off the throttle untill he was upside down

maybe thats it !!! ricks got a target on my back and he was commin thru you ot get to me  lol

I accept the responsibility of the start grid, The numbers were faded as well as the lines for the start/finish. So I took it upon myself to grab what was left of the paint and re-do the existing grid my bad. I saw ken working on the track solo so I figured I would help, paint, sweep and get the pebbles off. Maybe next time I will stay in my Time out corner hahaha. Great day of racing overall.Big thanks to Ken johns for all the hard work getting the track change done.New additions were awesome!!

I am not getting my "panties in a wad". I just really am suprised that when you saw what you saw that you didn't just talk to me about it rather than come on here and call out my truck colors - lol. The start was very tight and it looks as if I was the only truck to stay straight from 3rd to 6th place. I don't take people out very often but when I do, I will stop and wait. Ask anyone that I race with. If you feel that I took you out then I apologize. I don't feel that I did. I feel that it was more of a chain reaction and a racing thing. That has happened to many of us on many occasions. Like Huse said, starting with a 180 in front of us usually doesn't produce good results.

Maybe next time you can message me or email me and discuss it off the boards? We be better for the hobby IMO.

See ya at the next one. You can pay me back then - lol
