GP pancar supporting racers, and club Prez

 few items
,1. Sportsman truck should be 21.5 tcs rubber tire
2. sk no changes
3.Nationwide class- change body to protoform gen 3 c or d bodies cut on factory trim line spoiler only cut on factory trim line, open tire for gp surface, the purple stipe is awesome, but we just dont have the grip to make for good racing
4. Expert wing car class, please drop the (NR) name and just call it 10.5 expert and just imply it's a no boost class with 10.5 motors.

this way guy's who want to run at delta  and visa -versa,they have two classes that they can race, with only a spec tire change for delta, which by the way, i ran one set in sk and nationwide ,7 race days ,with little to no tire wear, and i'm still running same set's. so for the avg. guy, thats less than 5 bucks a set cost per race day
just a few open forum thoughts to the supporting pancar racers at GP club.
i'll be supporting gp pancar racing once again for the 18th season,i hope we can grow and get it back to the once awesomeness of having a-b-c mains!

Hey guys, Tuesday is coming and that means a meeting. I don't know exactly where but, I hope someone will let you know. There's the trailer discussion, the boards need paint, and the fencing. The time is 7:30 pm and the place to be designed.

When is the board meeting to discuss the upcoming season?  When it comes to the motor rule for the Mini class, I'm for following the Tamiya TCS rules. Even though the ready to run kits come with a Johnson motor, they can be competitive with the brushless motors. If there is a discussion on adding a new class, I'm all for the Nitro wing sprints.

P1 hobbies will be racing this weekend the 6th!  Any current GP Member gets $5 off their first entry!  Weather as of this post is showing 67 deg and no rain in sight!  Looks like TCS Mini, VTA, USGT, and 17.5 sedan will be the big ones this weekend lots of new racers up here and some returning old faces should be a great weekend!

I just ordered a M-05 to run with you all in the upcoming season.

I'm not a member, but I would vote for Reedy + Silver can option.

Hey Chris,

Sorry for not getting back.to you, the email probably went to my college address. Next time try sport087@yahoo.com to send an email to me. Tamiya must want closer racing with the Mach 3 Reedy motor and their ready to run cars with the Siler can motors. Chris, is the aluminum chassis for the Team Xray X1 better than the carbon fiber chassis? Seems  like it would, although the aluminum chassis might be heavier than the carbon fiber and therefore less weight being added will help to balance the car. I can't wait to get out of the hospital and get back to racing again.

Below is the Mini class motor survey results so far. Take the survey here.

GP Mini class motor survey results 1/30/16

Club Officers: If you provide me with a list of topics that the club needs to vote on, I can build a survey that everyone can take before our next meeting. I could even make last minute additions at the meeting. Members could cast a vote on their (or a fellow member's) smartphone before the final tally and results could be displayed immediately on the big screen. Just offering an alternative to the paper and pencil method we used last year.

I do like following TCS rules,
uh, I just got some good coupons ($20 off $50 at Amain).  -so may have to use it on this new Reedy 21.5 motor ...if indeed we decide to go that way.

My vote would be for following the TCS rules for anyone running a brushless motor that way anyone coming to race with us will be competitive and those of us running it can race anywhere. I think in the spirit of keeping the class affordable and at a "club" level, we should consider allowing the option running the stock silver can. That way it will still be open for someone that picks up a basic kit and wants to run it. I can't imagine the stock silver can will actually be faster than the Reedy motor!

This is a tough one...I emailed Eric awhile ago asking his opinion about this...I'll have to agree with Art and Eric-it's probably best to have one common motor. We should play by the TCS rules.I've purchased the motor and actually ran it at Speedworld.Compared to the 24k,Team Powers,R1,Killshot and other 21.5's,The REEDY mach 3 21.5 motor is significantly slower then the above mentioned. This will definitely slow the cars down and keep the speeds very even.I venture to say, that the REEDY motor isn't much faster then a good silver can!As stated by Gordon,we must run that motor. That being said,I'm with the TCS motor.(by the way, found mine at STORMERHOBBIES.COM.Got it for $90.04,including shipping and handling.Took less then four days to get it.)...Gordon, I emailed you twice but you never responded.I'm glad your back and ready to go!I've missed you.By the way,I too, have a USGT vehicle!

Hi Gordan........ I think P1 is going to use the TCS rules and change to the new Reedy mach3 motor. And I'm fine with that cause my motor is supper fast and not to many people can hang with it! I would love to see everyone switch over to the new motor. It just makes everything that much more spec. And it will make for some real close and exciting race's. I'm very excited for this up coming race season. We have a lot of new and up coming racers from Ukiah ready to come out to race.

For those of you waiting with baited breath for Target's response, the wait is over...Target said no.

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, I requested use of their parking lot for our events.

The search continues...

All,

I've been messing around with Google Forms to create a survey for the club. Check it out here. It only has the Mini class motor question, but it's enough to provide you with an idea of its utility.
