I hope Sunday was a great day of racing. I still have an infection so, I don't if I will be well enough to make the meeting on Tuesday or not. At this time I am a pointing Matt to run the meeting and until I am well enough to be race director at the next race in August. Who has the results? Can someone post the results on the Ground Pounders Web site or email me the results, please.
So take care, have fun, and I will see you when I well.

Yesterday was super fun!

Hey, any chance we can see the race results? (even if they can be posted to this RCRacing forum would be great).  ...if its difficult as we're all busy w/ work I get that.  But thought I'd ask.

I went buy the track today, it looks great,no weeds growing and cracks covered, fire works stuff and other debris here and there but it will clean off nice, some mug root beer  and it should be fine. as I said I will not be there so somebody has to bring soda and spray it the old school way, also some body bring a cordless with a 7/16th nut driver.who`s going to make the call for racing or not? weather should be cool in the morning and hot in the afternoon

Freshly sealed surface equals insane traction.  At our last oval race the 13.5 sprint cars were ripping wheelies from a dead stop.  Soda on fresh sealer....

Not yet John, the lot is full of fireworks remains. I'm in Marin so since I'm off work I took a ride up to see surface today. The club may have to clean the lot ourselves. So we will see on Sunday morning what the traction is like.

Do you spray soda Gordon? If so it should be great if it is clean. Foam or Rubber. PPRC runs on slurry and they spray soda basically. The newer and shinier usually the better.

Yes, Steve, it's now a bright black lot with bright shiny white lines. This is just a suggestion but, we might be able to run the old, larger course layout with the light poll in the middle. We just need to test first and see.

Attention race fans and racers. The surface at Driven Raceway has been slurry sealed recently,  so I don't know how this will effect the pan cars or the 17.5 touring cars. Since this is so close to our next race and we have struck out in trying to find other locations to run at, I would like to hear from our Ground Pounder members before a decision is made. Matt has looked at the surface and said that it seems smooth to run on, but I am waiting to hear from the rest of the board members what their point of view is but running on this surface. Stay tuned for more up dates.

Thank you to the members that came out and answered question and put on a great show for the spectaters. The track was a bite bumpy in spot but, over all the track worked, thank you Matt. Thank you Rob for towing the trailer into the tied space under the tent. Thank you Bryce, Jeffery, Travis, Don, Frank, Johnny, and Michael for setting up the track. Thank you Frank for bring your two boys out to have fun and show the spectaters that at any age you can have fun driving little cars. Dan, nice you showed up we needed another Mini and Bomber to round out our field of drivers.

In all, the day was nice and we talked to a number of people about our club, hopefully the club will have some new members in the near future.

See you at the meeting this Tuesday the 16th at Terra Vino in Rohnert Park at 7:30 pm.
