Alright listen, listen please. The club is going to try a controlled practice tomorow morning. I thought of two types of practice sesions. First, would be to run practice as two heat races with five minute for each class and if we started at eight o'clock we would finish about ten or a little after ten for the two practice sesions.

The second, would be to let the Oval class have a five minute sesions for each class to setup thier cars and the on road have a ten minute sesion. That would leave about thirty minutes of open time for the drivers that nend more time to setup thier car to do so.

If you have a thought about controlled practice sesions let me know tomorow at registration before practice begins.

Steve, what we are going to try to do is give 5 minutes to each class. Novice may get one or two minutes more to learn the track. What we don't want to see is a driver running for six minutes without making any adjustments to thier car. If your car is fine then run for three minutes and pull the car in and setup your next car. Practice is to see if your setup is right, and tires are working like they should. So run for two minutes and bring it in and make your adjustments as needed, then come back out and see if the adjustment helped or hurt the car. At the last race we had over seventy entries, and not all the drivers got a chance to practice, so let's try and be a gentleman about practice, please.

See you on Sunday and let's have some fun.

Can we breakup road course practice to  have cars and trucks separated? you do that for oval.
With the limited practice  time the mixing of trucks and cars have them both running is hard to get clean laps in for practice let alone avoid breaking the cars.

Last race  my car got broken because a truck went from the infield to the wrong direction on the back straight and hit my can and another head on.  I got 2 laps practice by time I fixed my car practice was over. and others we getting mad because the got crashed into by the larger trucks. not intentionally.  just too crowded and too many cars.

thanks

I think I'll only run two classes this week end, F1 and 55 Bomber. This time I'll setup closer to drivers stand so I can keep an eye on my cars. Also, the club will try to regulate practice so that both oval and on road classes have enough time to practice.

So, we will see you out there on Sunday the 7th at Driven Raceway at 7:00am to setup and tear up the drivers stand. Remember that the club is doing a trailer makeover that morning so the trailer will be ready for it's big day at the Hobby Expo on the 13th. If you have any questions, see me in the pits.

So I finally got out there and measured the trailer dimensions. It is 5ft wide x 19ft-4in long, I measured inside handrail to inside handrail since I wasn't about to unload the trailer. Because of that, whoever buys the carpet should probably get it a couple inches longer just in case.
