We are one week away from our general meeting on the 19th. The hobby fair is coming up on June the 13th in Santa Rosa, I'd like to discus what cars we will run and who will help out at the fair. See you on the 19th at Terra Vino in Rohnert Park at 7:30pm.

Thanks for the thought Eric, what I would say is keep an eye open on the internet for the Mini. Right now I have already placed an order with Joe at P1 hobbies to set aside an m-05 pro v.II and hop ups like on the other car. This time I want to be 1300g light instead of 1320g.

About last Sunday, the day was fun with more than ninety entries and a few B mains in Bomber class, and 17.5 NR Sedan, and their was one more which slips my mind at the moment. All in all it was a fun day of racing, congrats to the winners and thank you Nitro Sprint driver for putting on a great show, way to go Allen. Not much I could do about the weather when the forecast was for some sun and temps in the seventies, what we got was overcast skies and temps in the mid-sixties. Thanks to the crew for setting up and those who hung around to pack the trailer. Lets do it again next month.

I'll see you at the meeting on the 19th of May and we will talk about this race and other items that night. Club members and racers lets keep looking for another site for our races that is in the area of Santa Rosa, Rohnert Park, Windsor, and Petaluma.

Oh YEAH!!! This Sunday at Driven Raceway the world of outlaw nitor sprint cars has arrived. You can walk through the pits and talk to the drivers, see their cars up close and watch them fly around the track. Should be a fun spectacle to watch.

We will also have our regular classes and our featured race the 17.5 NR sedans on hand to do battle. There might be a B main for this class, so stay focused drivers. Steve, I did not know you were a famous cinematographer of RC races, that was some sweet footage of the bomber class and spec rally. Thanks for taping it.

I will be running my Bomber, my 17.5 NR sedan, my Mini, and my F1. I haven't finish my SK yet, still working on ride height and weight. The 17.5 NR Oval is still awaiting parts, so I don't know if the car will be ready by Sunday. Remember to dress in layers this Sunday because the forecast is for warm to hot inland temperatures, and drink lots of water to keep cool.

If you have any questions you can find me in the pits. See you all on Sunday the 3rd at Driven Raceway.

Gordon..

Yes you can run silver can in the mimi class (or roar approved 21.5t brushless).

Tires for the mini are listed on thegroundpounder site. I think the premounted tires are what is required so there isn't any funny biz' with non tamiya tires, etc.. Also levels the field. There are about 3 or 4 choices I believe.

Ah, right, I have "the" groundpounders book marked ...but yeah I think I've done that a few times as well.

Thanks Eric, Like the noobie I am, I forgot to put the "THE" in the name.

without the the....I was taken to a sight with the same name but had nothing to do with us.  One day I'll get it ...lol

Also, the rules mention looking at item 40 re mini tires. I seem to be missing the 40...but what I have read it states stock tires/rims from Tamiya.

Also, where is there a page that talks about race fees? I have a request from a gentleman and his son that raced with us last time....

Thanks...
Michael

Hey Sherman,

You did not notice that there is only one way in and out of the parking lot. The surface is fine, and there is room to setup a track, but we would be taking up most of the parking spots.

I also looked at the fairgrounds parking lot. The surface is OK, but the Airporter buses pickup and drop off passengers every day. Where we use to setup is now the access road to the new shopping canter. So I think we better keep looking.

Sorry I havent been on in awhile.  SK class is running blinky 17.5, open tire, and following the tour rules for the car types and allowed front ends etc.  We just had first race and some of us  have some work to do to figure out how to get them to handle better.  as of now we have more hyperdrive sk  but seems some are leaning toward pemberton sk.  if you are at this sundays race come find me(Dan) and Kevin so we can give you better idea what we are running.   would  like to add more drivers for sure, oval needs some new / old oval drivers to come race with us.      Dan H
