I'll hopefully have the results up by tomorrow - there's an issue linking to our page that we're working on.  Stay tuned - just didn't want anyone to think we forgot.

Last Sunday was a blast! 10min Mini main ...wow, loved it!
---
Thanks Gordon for the suggestion about how to recommend a demonstration class (being newer to the club there was a bit of confusion).  I will discuss w/ Chris D outside this thread and then present at one of the upcoming meetings. -I'll try to get a count of how many drivers/cars we'd have for that potential event too.

thanks!

eric.

Yes, Sunday was fun and I am sorry about the confusion about the Mini class. The Ground Pounders voted on which classes to run this year, and four wheel drive Min's was not one of the classes voted to add. Please, see our rules on the Ground Pounders web site on class for the 2015 year.

If their are enough drivers who want to run the four wheel drive Mini at one of our races, then submit the class as a demonstration class at one of our future meetings. This May has a demonstration class of Nitro Sprint cars. So, Mr. Dotson or Mr. Falk if you would like to pick a month so you can show case the four wheel drive Mini please do so and present it at the next meeting. Yes, I know Chris you are up in the foot hills, so let Eric submit the class for a vote.

The May featured race is 17.5 NR Sedan (8min. A main) and the demonstration class is Nitro Sprint car (4min. or is it 5min.)? Hope to see you all at the next meeting on the 21st of April at the Terra Vino restaurant in Rohnert Park at 7:30pm.

Wow Hageman, since I've been dealing with the generators for the last several years I though it would be good to have some past history that may not be known. No need to get your panties in a wad......

Enjoy whatever is decided.

Sherman - I changed it to just read "Nitro Sprint Cars" for that race - let me know Sunday if there's a better way to word it and I can change it that morning.

The rules are up as well now.

Dan - Thanks for checking in to the generators - we can talk about it Sunday morning (or at the next meeting.)  Your help is always appreciated - always.  You did an insane amount of work for the club back then with all of the equipment (and still do.)

Gary - You know you're appreciated as well.  Dan volunteered to explore additional solutions for us as picking up and returning the generators has posed some issues for the members because of work schedules and vehicles that can accommodate the generators (really the returning on Monday aspect is the main issue.)

We're just exploring options and all opinions are valued in this - both positive and negative.  Lets talk about this in person rather than on this board - and switch over to talking about the upcoming race and what everyone is going to run.  smile

I am only even bring up this generator topic cause there seems to be that getting them returned was the only reason I even looked into it.  I have no reason or care about it.  I am trying to make it easier on club members.  Since my time of picking up on fridays settup on sundays  tear down after races  return everything on monday was no big deal guess I have no clue as to why I should try to suggest this.  Oh yes the company I used also supplied us with the light towers at a very good discounts and no fees for cords and boxes.  Now I remember why I went silent about helping out,  I will now continue to race and leave when my heats are over, returning generators not my problem any more.  And fyi the fuel that went in all those large generators and light towers came from me with NO yell charge to the club, I have never ask or expected it.  Since time goes by peeps seem to forget.  What I do is with the thoughts for the club  and its members not my personal gains.  I think its time for me to keep my suggestion to myself.

Off my soap box....

The novice trophies will be ready for pick up when the rest are picked up. I will put the rest of the year's novice trophies and drop them off at so they'll be done.

If there is some glitch let me know and I'll pick them up.

Yes ladies and gentleman, boys and girls it's coming, coming this SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY.... The first points race of the 2015 season is this Sunday the 29th of March at Driven Raceway at the north end of Rohnert Park. The featured race is MINI'S!! You can go on line to pre register for the race. You can also sign-up for four classes if you like, as long as you have a person to corner for you if you are in back to back races. Set-up is around 7:30 am, registration is 8:00 am or so, and first practice around 9:00 am as long as you are registered.

I noticed that the May 3rd NITRO SPRINTs demo race is a wing less sprint. we will be using 6x6 wings, the other racers that are coming will know it is a winged event, is there any problems with that? we have been racing them like that at DELTA and SPEEDWORLD

Re: Generators

We have been renting from the Rental Place for several years. More than once we picked up the generators when the event was later rained out and they didn't charge us anything.
More than once we returned the generators very late and they never charged us a late fee. Once we had a problem with a generator (Mechanical/electrical units are not perfect) and one of their mechanics came over to our race way after they had closed to get it running right. They have always made sure whatever we needed was delivered on time. Does Home Depot rent light towers?

Possibly the more important factor is the support of a small local business (I think they have four sites) that has supported us.

Off my soap box.......
