Yes you can run silver can in the mimi class (or roar approved 21.5t brushless).

Tires for the mini are listed on thegroundpounder site. I think the premounted tires are what is required so there isn't any funny biz' with non tamiya tires, etc.. Also levels the field. There are about 3 or 4 choices I believe.

Ah, right, I have "the" groundpounders book marked ...but yeah I think I've done that a few times as well.

Thanks Eric, Like the noobie I am, I forgot to put the "THE" in the name.

without the the....I was taken to a sight with the same name but had nothing to do with us.  One day I'll get it ...lol

Also, the rules mention looking at item 40 re mini tires. I seem to be missing the 40...but what I have read it states stock tires/rims from Tamiya.

Also, where is there a page that talks about race fees? I have a request from a gentleman and his son that raced with us last time....

Thanks...
Michael

Hey Sherman,

You did not notice that there is only one way in and out of the parking lot. The surface is fine, and there is room to setup a track, but we would be taking up most of the parking spots.

I also looked at the fairgrounds parking lot. The surface is OK, but the Airporter buses pickup and drop off passengers every day. Where we use to setup is now the access road to the new shopping canter. So I think we better keep looking.

Sorry I havent been on in awhile.  SK class is running blinky 17.5, open tire, and following the tour rules for the car types and allowed front ends etc.  We just had first race and some of us  have some work to do to figure out how to get them to handle better.  as of now we have more hyperdrive sk  but seems some are leaning toward pemberton sk.  if you are at this sundays race come find me(Dan) and Kevin so we can give you better idea what we are running.   would  like to add more drivers for sure, oval needs some new / old oval drivers to come race with us.      Dan H

Go to thegroundpounders.com and look under current rules. You'll see the rules listed for mini class. I believe we mostly
follow TCS rules for mini, -but its on the clubs website.

RE: Mini Class

Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out any and all MINI rules please.

I want to find out all I can as far as tires for this class, and any other info about this class.  I am unable (so far) to locate tires with treads, even Tamiya has discontinued the stock ones that came in the kit. I see lots of mags (rims) in all kinds of colors etc...hmmm

There are lots of tires out there for the mini. Some are foam, some are rubber slicks etc. So if there is a link to where I can read up on this issue, please let me know.

I am looking forward to this next upcoming race day.....

I am coming for my first GP race this weekend.  What is the pit situation like?  I.e. what should I bring?

..hey I would have suggested at the meeting this week (but am fighting a cold).
Have you guys considered Sonoma Raceway? They have a ton of pavement (besides the main track) and I believe have hosted RC events for drifters in the past few years.  They seem like they like to support anything car-racing related.

We'd be happy to order the SK chassis for anyone that needs them.  Dark Side, Hyperdrive, Pemberton, etc.....  Don't know too much about them yet, but this hobby shop is happy to supply them.
