Hope to see you out with us again Rich (and that your back is feeling much better now!)  Nice seeing Ryan out with us again as well for this race - oh, and I heard Eric Falk did as great as we thought he would having to be combined in the 17.5 class since we didn't have a novice class on Sunday (very nice guy and nice to see it worked out so well.)

See all of you soon!

i want to thank groundpounders for a well run race. i am sorry that I had to leave before the mains. I fell down while corner marshalling the first main, aND REALLY TWISTED MY BACK. tHANK YOU mike for packing my stuff up and getting it in the car for me. I couldnt have done it. I did make it home ok. As for the motor, the person with the d-3.5 could hAve driven almost as fast with just about any other motor out there. He really is a class act, and if you need any help, just ask him, and he will give it.

Matt - This is in the rules that are posted and avalible for you to look at freely on www.thegroundpounders.com web site:

17.5NR Sedan: This class is for the all Sedan drivers, giving everyone a class to race in while gaining track time and experience. The class uses car like Tamiya, Team Losi, or Team Associated 4wd sedans (No home-built's). Off the shelf upgrades are allowed. Rubber tires only, No foam tires. Only 2 cell Roar approved LiPos, 17.5 Roar approved brushless motors, Roar approved Speed Controls set in Blinky Mode allowed. Cars must meet the Roar minimum weight to be allowed to race (1380grams) (Sportsman and Expert Racers) ***The use of the 17.5 Trinity D3.5 brushless motor is approved to run in both 17.5 NR Oval and 17.5 NR Sedan the rest of this 2014 race season.

Any other questions please feel free to e-mail me at sennracing15@yahoo.com

Had a blast today in 17.5 nr sedan some good clean racing.. Wanted to give a shout out and tip my hat to the couple of novice drivers that were forced to run because there was no class for sportsman.both heats of 17.5 were very clean and the slower cars did an awesome job of just moving to the outside and letting the faster car go. That's an expert driver in my book!! Also just one small question don't want to start a firestorm just makes me scratch my head.. What exactly is an illegal motor for 17.5? A motor on the roar ban list? A motor banned at all other 17.5nr races? Just wondering.. Because a trinity d3.5 is banned at any other track.. It has a larger rotor than normal. It's basically a 15.5 which explains why only one car in the mains could even get into the 9s and that particular car ran 9 second laps the entire race.. Only ran slower than 9 seconds a handful of laps..

Hey Gordon - nope, haven't gotten anything.  I tried you today from my work e-mail thinking something might be wrong with my Yahoo account (having an issue with stuff going to SPAM that shouldn't, but it sounds like maybe you're having an issue with yours if you're receiving e-mails but the ones you are sending aren't going through.  I'll send you my cell number in case you don't have it in case you still need something.

Just clarifying the timing for the day -

Track set up starts around 6:30 AM/7:00 AM, so please come on out to lend a hand if you are able to as the sooner we are set up, the sooner we can start running practice to be able to start the first heat at 11:00 AM! Sign ups are from 9:00 - 10:30 AM.

Yo!, Steve, The Ground Pounders run VTA. At the next meeting I'll bring it up as a class for next season. If you have four or more cars, we could run a demenstration class, so see if you can find three more cars.

Five days to go, and I'm ready. Looks abite hot this Sunday so dress for the heat and bring enough water to stay hydrated. This is the 24 minutes of Le Mans, remember to have a pit person for refueling. I'll be running three classes, 17.5 NR oval, and 17.5 NR TC, and Mini.

The place; Driven Raceway at the north end of Rohnert Park. Time; 7:00 am setup, practice at 8:00 am, and races start around 10:00 am. See ya on Sunday, lets have some FUN.

Gordon.
