I'd like to thank Dave Ivy for his hard work in securing a leaf blower for the club. Thanks Dave.

I thought we should talk about that tomorrow night at the meeting - not sure there's a point to the sprints since we haven't had any so far this year (unless people had already planned to race them for that class spicifically that day.). Thought we could talk about it at the meeting to see what the consensus is...doesn't seem popular to our normal base anymore.

I need some small, single tier trophies (12-18 inches) for our novices. I have June taken care of but need 10 more to finish out the year. Crown only charges us a couple bucks to refurbish them so we are able to have trophies for our novice winners every race.

If you've got some kicking around that you don't want any more bring them to the meeting or the race.

Dave Ivey and Sherman Wong have supplied the trophies for last year and some of this year..... Thank you!!!!!!

Yes, we're working on seeing if they'll consider letting us race there (I've made a couple of calls and Robert Wise has been in contact with the GM.)  We're both backing off a bit so that we don't drive them crazy while they make a decision.  We should know more within the next week or so if it's looking promising or not.

I looked at Les Schwab on Santa Rosa Ave.... it has condos on the other side of the back wall and motels on each side so that's a no go. Has anyone spoken to the casino? I'll do that unless someone else wants to.

Just a heads up that we're still looking at other race site locations, but Driven Raceway has been exceptionally nice (as always), and have welcomed us back on June 1st since Les Schwab is sealing their pavement.  I'll update the website later today to include that info.  Just wanted to put it up here so that everyone is aware.

See you guys next Tuesday.

Thanks,
Amy

"The novice class again had a large number of entries, congrates Mike on the win in both oval and on road." -Actually I won the novice on-road (but it's okay) Mike is a good driver.

Hey, I have a question. What time do you think the July 5th night race will be? I have a wedding I am debating on going to ...trying to figure out how I should RSVP. And, unfortunately I will not be able to make it out to the June event (going camping).

Yes, Sunday was interesting to say the least. I'd like to know who called for gusts of wind throughout the day?

In all the day went well with over 90 entries for the day. The featured classes, Spec Rally and TC17.5 NR sedan, had a ten car mains. Also, 17.5 NR oval also had a ten car main. The novice class again had a large number of entries, congrates Mike on the win in both oval and on road.

At the meeting on the 20th of May, we have a lot to talk about and sort out. I'm sorry we lost a good driver from our ranks, and I hope it is not for a long time. I will see ya on the 20th of May at the Round Table pizza off Commerce Blvd in Rohnert Park.

Gordon.

Sherman, great to be racing with you again in the gearbox style. I'm looking forward to what you can get that Bummer to do!

Johnny, I couldn't get the camera working for the Bomber race and the vid out the back of my Slash was pretty boring.
