Hey guys!  I'm finally getting around to assembling my 13.5 Nascar.   Did I hear somewhere that this class is NOT blinky as in, we can use ramping?

Greg or Koz if you are tuned in what rollout should I start with for the driven track?  I'll be using a speed passion motor and those love to rev....

Mostly I'm just trying to figure out what spur to install....

I think the club has a meeting on Tuesday the 18th at 7:30pm at the Round Table pizza across from Coding town shoping center. Have something to say, come and discuss it with the members.

In the notes, the date change was brought up, discussed, but no changes were made. The 6th was kept as the race date.

Ask Gordon. I think we changed that because of the July 4th holiday being so close to the race weekend. That is what I remember.

The Ground Pounders used to have a featured race every month and this year we usually have two featured races but on June 2nd we're having THREE, count 'em, THREEEEEE feature races along with our regular schedule of classes!!!! The race is at Les Schwab in Windsor (next to Walmart) and has the smoothest pavement of our venues. The featured, trophy classes are:

The fast guys, 13.5 oval, one of the most exciting classes 360 Wingless Sprints and since RCFIA made this Ground Pounders race a stop on their series we moved the F-1 feature up to June from October. Rallye Cars will fill the vacancy in October.

As alway, the winner of Novice will also get a trophy.

Set up starts at 7, sign ups close at 10 and racing starts at 11.

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! BE THEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEE!!!!

What a great meeting last night!!! Lots of members, we talked about the last two races and discussed races to come.

The only technical discussion was VTA. At the beginning of the year we discussed keeping the motor timing at the stock setting, ASSUMING that the rest of the competition was doing the same. Turns out some racers were, some weren't, nothing illegal there, just a different concept. Since most are bumping up the timing we're gonna do the same but only on the motor.

There was a weight discussion also. We decided to remain at 1550 grams since it's easier to add 100 grams than take it off. Some of the older cars would have a rough time getting down to that weight.

Our next race is June 2nd and RCFIA is bringing their F1 series to the Ground Pounders race so we've moved the F1 trophy race from later in the year. Rallye Cars will fill the spot in the fall.

The club is spending some money to keep the show going!! We're shopping for a new lap top since our old one is......old... and then we'll have a spare. We're also getting a new scale....ours had some issues at the last race... and then we'll have a spare for that too!

We had two months worth of raflle prizes and it seems the Martin boys got most of 'em!

See ya at the races!!!!!

Had a fun time yesterday. Thanks to Kevin for the help on the 17.5 oval car, it handle perfectly in traffic. The 55 bomber class was fun, I guessed on the set up. Mini, what can I say, all ways a blast. VTA class, their are a lot of fast cars in that class and I need to find some power.

Thanks to the ground pounders for a fun day, see ya at the meeting on the 21st.

Gordon.
