I'll be there early to help set up. I'll have the super duty secret traction compound and the sprayers. Running VTA,Slash, and 17.5 non ramping sedan. I think I'll have both kids running novice oval and one in novice onroad. See everyone on race day, and we are amped up from the drags this last weekend.

Deal me in for TC 17.5 NR, and Mini, and Slash. My VTA will raced by Jeff, so may be in September I'll run the VTA class.

Bump ups have been discussed here and at GP meetings and they were voted down. We don't usually have enough for a B Main anyway.

I like the idea of doing the single qualifier for only the feature race but we missed it for this year (June)

This is Joe on Blake's computer....

Single Car qualifying would be sweet a special event, like the Sprint Car feature or perhaps the SpookOut? I would vote no on single car qualifying every month...

Do we have enough cars show for bump ups?I like a new format for this class either way.Even just a rolling start for main.

I don't have a dog in this fight, just bringing forward a suggestion....don't care either way. It would be simple to do, no computer work like bump ups.

So far, 2-0 against.

If it is too time consuming to do bump ups then it would be for sure too much to start changing the format? Don't you think?

Leave it alone and run it. If you change anything, it should be the " bump up" or lack there of.

Just my opinion

Induvidual lap qually sounds fun in concept but it'll probably too tricky and time consuming for our volunteer force to pull off in a timely, professional, and consistent manner. The pace car idea sounds fun and probable, any additional gimmicks don't seem necessary to a class that's been fun to watch as is already.

Another idear brought up was a change in qualifying for the sprints.....their first 'heat' would be two or three lap individual runs for time, setting the starting line up for the second heat which would actually be a four minute race and the results of that heat would set the starting grid for the main.

Thoughts?

Let's experiment with it at the next race.

About what a great race it was! After attending the Petaluma dirt track races I was thinking that maybe we could start the sprints with a pace car and rolling start? Have we ever tried that?

That last race was so fun under the lights. VTA was a blast maybe we'll get to see David and Gordon battle it out this next race. See all You GP members tomorrow night at 7:30pm at round table pizza across from Coddingtown.
