Are you looking for a spot for the trailer close to the track? How long is the trailer, I cant remember but Iam thinking 20 feet or so? I wanted to make the meeting last night but you know old age and all that stuff...I forgot. Bryce Iam interested in the TC7, but I don't have your e-mail address and cant seem to find how to send a PM on this site. Thanks

Sherm,

i will I’ll not make the meeting tonight, celebrating my Birthday instead. I am still interested in finding a new home for the track/trailer. Please let me know if there are any prospects out there! Have fun tonight.

Bill,

if if you’re looking for a TC7, I have a roller I’m looking to sell. It’s currently set up for USGT and would be an easy conversion to VTA. I even have spare unpainted USGT bodies if you wanted to go that route instead. Shoot me an email if you have questions.

Thanks eR1c, I thought I have read somewhere that any 4WD would be legal. I will have to start checking the classifieds, and E-bay for a TC7 I have always been an Associated FanBoy. Thanks again looking forward to racing when we are allowed.

Hello Bill,
For VTA chassis, any 4wd chassis, you don't have to get the most expensive or latest and greatest. I am using a 2013 Hobao "H4" chassis (which has been discontinued for years). I've thought about replacing it, yet it does well and I love that I haven't spent any money on it in 7 years (other than motor upgrades, tires, body, and battery).

My son is using a TC7.1 we got used for $100 (I rebuilt it to factory spec's). A lot of people run the Team Associated TC7.1/7.2's. I think Art was using a Tamiya plastic chassis (perhaps a TA07 I think) up at P1 last year.

What are some of you drivers using for a VTA platform? I did go on the Club website and got the info for Tires, ESC and Motor specs, and Bodies. Thanks.

It is a dirt track under the Rowland underpass in Novato. You drive into the Rowland Park-n-Ride parking lot, the track is just under the overpass. It's about 40' wide by 70' long. It's really loose, but makes for some fun drifting around corners. I've never seen anyone there while I've been there... but it looks maintained. My son and I race against each other, we've been going about 3-4x a week, usually for an hour and around 4pm - 5pm ish after I finish work.

Thanks for keeping up on this Sherman. Uh, this is a bummer.
I wish I had the space to store the club's equipment, ..we have a small 3 bedroom house on a smaller lot.
---
If anyone is interested I've been racing a couple of Short Course trucks at a local dirt track here in Novato. It's been a lot of fun and lot's of close door to door racing. The track isn't any kind of private track, just something that someone built a few years ago. It's pretty decent in size and quality.  ...but I guess you guys all have "Place to Play" track up north.

I have a spare bomber body if anyone is looking to pass the time before we race again by doing some painting, brand new, still in the bag! Heck, I think I have a spare VTA and USGT body too! And brand new ESC and Servo and other stuff too.... starting to feel like a used car salesmen! LOL but, I gotta get rid of stuff! I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!
