Actually I have decided that I am going to try to compete in a TCS even this year. Looks like there is one in Fresno sometime this summer (provided we get through this Pandemic). I am going to build up a TT02 for use in the "GT-Pro" class.

This should keep me busy for about a few weeks.

Seems like the Drag scene is growing/kind of big? I'll have to attend an event ...as I don't know much about it.

Okay, I've checked camber, toe, and ride height about 4x on each car. Rebuilt shocks and diff's.. done. Now what? Start a new build to keep from going crazy!

"GET SOME ON-LINE PARTS OR BE A TRUE HOBBIST AND MAKE THEM" Sherman, I used to build the whole car and I gotta tell you that this 'spec' stuff is a whole lot easier, less time consuming and cheaper!
Parts can be ordered from Jake's for next day delivery!!

Delta RC usually has MyLaps transponders in stock. I've bought 2 there in the last 6 months.

Thanks Sherman,,,,, this 'shelter in place' made it easier to decide whether to race or not. Be safe everyone and remember that even though you may be young and healthy enough to make it through the virus, you may give it someone who's not.

WELL LOOKS LIKE WE ARE IN SHELTER MODE TILL NEXT MONTH, LETS HOPE WE CAN RACE AND LEVE ALL THIS VIRUS STUFF BEHIND. I HOPE ALL IS WELL WITH YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES.  CHRIS AS FOR TRANSPONDERS OUR CLUB SCORING SYSTEM WILL WORK WITH 2 OR 3 WIRE TYPES. AMB/MY LAPS ARE THE MOST POPULAR ONES.  MAYBE A CLUB MEMBER WILL SELL ONE ,EBAY?

Unfortunately the only place to get a transponder would be online, Jake sold them in the past but the way they are sold to hobby shops with no markup at all it doesn’t make sense for Jake to spend hundreds of dollars for something to sit on the shelf. I recommend buying from my laps directly. Or possibly from amain. And then just make sure what system we are using I believe gp is still running the old system so I don’t think the 3 wire transponders work there so you have to get the little bit more expensive 2 wire my laps transponder

..Ask at Jake's for a "Mylaps RC4" transponder, ..you can use either the 2 or 3 wire version.
They run about $90-$115 ea.

I bought my transponders at Jake's..... I would imagine he still has 'em.

I will try to remember the meeting but maintain 'social distancing'.

If someone wanted to purchase their own transponder, what and where should they look?

Our next meeting is supposed to be this coming Tuesday right? That’s St. Patrick’s Day... are we we all dressing like leprechauns and drinking green beer or are we considering sliding the meeting a day or two either way?
