Hey Sherman,

You know I like to race with you guys occasionally. I stumbled upon a web site that sells professional racetracks consisting of plastic rails that will not break cars like wood can and dots that will upset rc cars if you run over them.

well I have been in the wrong place at the right time and have been driven off the track at some time or another too.if we put up stronger boarders it just might distroy our little race cars. we also could improve our driving skills, hmm what a thought..any way I will bring this subject up at our next club meeting..thanks for the thoughts...

I feel your pain. I also got taken out in the mains by a careless driver. But all in all, I had a great time.

Groundpounders should use "wood" to seperate the the in field from the straight away. I raced nitro sedan at the last race and was up by 4 laps at the 4 minute mark only to be taken out by a car that came onto the straight away from the in field. Groundpounder runs a "fun, low stress" venue but those fire hoses are not acceptable as lane dividers.  I noticed on the sweeper before the straight some peope were cutting the corner because there was nothing to stop them but "little dots" on the ground.

Oh yeah, our first night race is coming up on July 7 at Driven Raceway. The featured class will be Stock Slash. I will be running TC 17.5 NR, and VTA hopefully, and Stock Slash. So, get em ready for racing under the lights.

Gordon.

Had a great time on sunday. Thanks to Maurice Hayes for helping with the setup on my nitro car.It was pushing when entering the corners, I guess i will have to make a few more adjustments.  At the end of the day I noticed how hard Matt was working putting away the track. This guy is awesome, he goes above and beyond. Thanks Matt!!. Now if I could just figure out how to match his times in 360 sprint, it would be a perfect day.  See you all next month

Fun day with the Ground Pounders. Nitro oval, with only four cars was very good racing. 18 17.5 cars, Wow that's a lot of cars. Making the A main was a big deal. In the A there was always someone to race. Good times!!

Big Thanks to Matt and everyone else who helped put this race on.

Race Notes: Featured classes are 13.5 Ovla dn 360 Sprint Cars. No changes to the 13.5 Oval program, but the A Main of the Sprint Cars will be 75 laps (taking the top 8 to the A).

Les Schwab features a D shaped oval track, this should make for some very interesting racing and plenty of mad thrashing and tuning. The track rewards patience, heads up driving and a good set-up, more than any other on the GP circuit.

Road Course guys are treated to a more technical track, as the D shape challenges the club to design a good layout. Expect some tight sections!

One reminder above all, the #1 rule is to have fun!
