This Sunday is the next race in the Ground Pounders points race. The featured class is USGT, and will be at Les Schwab tire store in Windsor. The weather is looking good, not to hot so remember to bring shade, sun screen, and dress accordingly.

After this race I will work on finishing the points race printout and post the results at Jake's hobby shop and on the club's Web site. I'm up for some Mini, and 55 Bomber. Hope to see you this Sunday.

Tonight at the meeting the club members revisited the new oval body, LTC Potoform body. The vote was four in favor and zero no's, and so the new body is approved for the 13.5 classes. Also, this upcoming month, August will have two events due to Labor day falling on the first weekend in September, so the September's race will be held on August the 27th. Their was a question about points race , and I will try to print out  a tally as of the last race as soon as possible.

So, keep an eye on the ground pounders Web sight and I will print a copy and leave it on the bulletin board at Jake's hobby shop. This next race will be at Les Shuab in Windsor on the 6th  of August.

Yes Bill, the 8th is a Tuesday and I ment to say the 6th of August will be our next race. The club races on the first Sunday of each month unless it falls on a holiday in which case the race will be held on the following Sunday. I think we have a race date scheduled on the last Sunday of a month this year, so keep following the ground pounders thread for more updates.

Hey Guys and Gals, can someone please tell me if the Bomber and Slash rules on the GP website are current?
Are there any changes that have not made the site?
Also, what's the scoop with gearing?  Still only allowing what's on the website?

Thanks!!

A 13.5 NASCAR b main?!!! So bummed I missed out due to work.   Got some new ideas on the rubber tire cars that works up here and can't wait to try them there.  Funny how 60 + entries was a light turnout lol.   We're just spoiled with event size turnouts for club races!   Tryin to make the next one got a camping trip right in there so we'll see....

Edits are for typo's ... Not for backing out !

Yes, a good day of racing all around was had. There was one B main in the 13.5 spec class and not in the MinI class, that was unusual. In some of the races there were bashing and bumping, myself included so I would like to apologize to Michael Morris for the hard hit in 55 Bomber. I hope all of you had fun on Sunday, our next race is at Les Schwab in Windsor on August 8th and our club meeting is July 18th at the Mountain Mikes pizza parlor in Rohnert Park at 7:30pm. If you have any questions or comments you can e-mail me or post up on rc racing and I will get back to you.

Have fun and see you at the next race.

great day of racing..traction consisant?.hope every body had fun....I DID(green bommber)...light enries ( good tight racing)got home before nightTIME .the on road was a well layed out fast back stright and the tight infield,A and B mains in the minnies.  In the 17.5 oval truck class there were battles from corner to corner. very close racing.we have all types of drivers in this class (sportsman) one mistake can take you out of the running. this class allways growing. A and B mains are to be expected.  KEVIN please keep your comments to your self, yes one truck was sideways but he will learn, from the beginning Of the day each lap was side ways in the main only 12 times.yes I watched.come see me at the next race......NEXT RACE WILL BE AT LESS SCHAWB IN WINDSOR,AS FOR PITTING BUILD YOUR PIT AREAS AND PARK YOUR CAR TOWARDS WAL-MART, THIS WAY WE CAN KEEP A EYE ON JUST THE PITS AND NOT HAVE TO LOOK AROUND YOUR PERSONAL CAR,NITRO SPRINTS WILL BE IN THE HOUSE MAKING NOISE AND SMELLING GOOOOD. I will wash the track down the night before so the traction should come uo compared to last time, see ya there
