I wouldn't mind seeing more bodies allowed either. We follow the best of the west rules for the class. Round one of best if the west is at delta in march. You will have to have a legal body for that series race for sure. We follow those rules so that racers from different tracks and areas can come to delta and race wih the same equipment. For club races at ddlta i really don't mind what body is used. I don't like the knight rider body however becasue that does not look like a street stock to me and looks like too much of a wedge. Keep in mind that some of the bodies are a bit narrower and will make your wheels stick out too much. This is not an open wheel class. If the current body rules really are prevenring anyone from running the class i'd say you are really missing out.

I really think it would be cool if you updated your Bodies rules for Street stock, there are a lot of cool bodies, I like the 3rd Gen firebird,(think Knight-Rider) and the Regal is cool too, now more of the old ones are out too. Think about what you see on a real race track, it's not 9 camaros and a 70 mustang(No Offense, Shark) and one Monte Carlo, It's camaros firebirds, Montes Novas, Chevelles(not as much any more, but they used to be there) Regals, Oldmobiles, I don't remember much in fords unless you went WAY back to the 80's. At least allowing the Regal (same as monte, pretty much)and the older bodies won't make a difference Aerodynamics-wise, the firebird should be about the same as the Camaros, but it might be a little more wedge-like. I think I will write whoever makes the DODC/BOTW rules and see if they will update their list, anyone else think so? This is a FORUM where Ideas are put out there for everyone else to have their say, and put in your own $.02.

It seems to me having a limited choice of only about 4 bodies could hold down the car count. I really don't see any advantage unless it's a flat wedge on wheels. but rules are rules.

Oh Shoot, I just realized this Plymouth body isn't on the list yet. It is a new release from McAllister so hopefully it will make the list. Otherwise I got myself a cool shelf queen I guess.

Check out www.mcallisterracing.com, and send him an email regarding the body you want. He only charges about $14 per body plus shipping. I just ordered 2 of the '59 Plymouth bodies, I'd be willing to let one go at cost if anyone is interested.

Here are the rules for our race classes. That body is not legal. We'd love to see you come out and add another street stock to the field!

We are out of bodies and you would need to fab a rear body mount setup. We have the rpm front bumpers and wheels/tires.
