WE ARE RACING FRIDAY!

Track took a lot of water but we got it pumped off and the surface is almost dry already. Should not get anymore rain so we'll be fine. My parents will be out again with food as well. Hope to see everyone here. Here is a pic I took @1:30 this afternoon.

Should be a fun night!

Well the 17.5 gear rule makes it easy for me to set up the Custom Works Direct drive Sprint car.

Hope we race Friday.

Steve, no the track will be closed during the week. We may get rain showers on thursday. We plan to race Friday night again unsealed. We'll start working the track in a few hours earlier this time. Last Friday we were able to run on the track around 8pm and it was great. Did not touch my car from the goldcup and it felt good. Thanks to those that showed up and sorry we ended up not racing.

Randy check the rules for 17.5. You have to run spec gearing. 4.06 fdr. Remember to run legal "blinky" esc and zero endbell timing. It's all in the rules.

Sorry I was not able to make it last Friday I had to work and get the new springs for my RC car. Just not enough time in the week to do everything.

I hopefully will make it this Friday.

Thanks for the rules link, I will read it too .

Oh, My car is a direct drive car. what is a good starting gear ratio for the 17.5 motor? Thanks Randy

Frank you are suffering from Rip Van Winkle syndrome. Frank hasn't raced since before the brushless/foam tire revolution/evolution so he is probably still feeling his way around all this newness. Hang in there Frank you'll figure it out. 17.5 is probably closest to the old stock motors back in the day. And, Dude, you need a new car to get smaller axles, those things were outdated even the last time you raced!

17.5 sprint has a spec foam. All other sprint classes will use Foam or Rubber Street Treaded tires such as custom works street tracs. I ran my 360 sprint with gold rc4less foams last night and it was dialed. The 360 class is 13.5 "blinky". 410 is open motor and esc. I think that foams will be faster than rubber tires. Check out our rulebook to answer pretty much all questions. Lmk I'f you have any more!

I see there is a Spec tire for sprints, Anyway, my questions are. 1) 17.5 Sprint is the 360 class, right? 2) Is there a Rules page or site somewhere we can go by(with street stock too)? 3) My old Elec Sprint has RC10 1/4"(Gold Chassis Style) Axles, can I use my own Foams? 4) More about Rules, are there rules for SC10? 5) Does 410 Sprint have any rules, are Rubber tires allowed on either sprint class?, and do they work? I'm going to read back a ways, but navigating this forum seems more Difficult than any I've been on, could find all my answers if there were more separate posts. Are there?

I do not think it is a dumb question, I was always told the question that was not asked is the dumb one.

Any way I am curious too!

Lol nope sorry Steve. You'll most likely want to be on silver or gold foams. We had 10 sets of each come in last Friday. I think all we have now are fronts.

Hopper I have a Custom works direct drive Sprint car I was trying to set it up but the pinion is hard to do for me. I had surgery and 1/2 of my hand is num and cramps eazy. I need to find the correct gearing. I looked at the 2WD full body and I can do it my self with nothing in the way and I could end up running a EDM with it in the end. All I have to do is get the body if there is a electric EDM class? If not then when I get the 2WD full body dialed in I can switch the set up to my Sprint car. My 2WD full body car is a custom works direct drive car too. they both are all most the same less the body and wings for the basic chassis, shocks and tranny.

Also I want to be in a class that newbies do not run in to me. I can not afford the brakage and do not want to be in the way of the fast guys.
