Hey guys just my 2cents on the EDM motor question. I ran my Custom Works GBX LM with the 410 guys "soon putting on the EDM body I got from Hopper" The car was really hooked up with C/W silver full foam "not even grooved" I did use C/W "magic it" on the tires before each round. I was about 3/10th's off the 410's pace.... "witch was very cool" Long story short I was "WISHING" for more power, I was running a non-ramped 8.5 Novak.... So, with even more grip & handeling out of the EDM BODY.... The ramped up 7.5 will be just right!!! IMO This is a great class to run in addition to another one... Im looking at 360 sprint also "might bring out an old direct drive Enforcer"

I vote for 7.5 !!!

Thanks

Big J, the kids will have they're own class. It should be novice or rookie. The only way kids would be in other classes would be if there isnt enough for a rookie class and i dont see Hopper putting them in with the 4wd latemodels

SC practice out here is "taking youre life into youre own hands" let alone the racing sometimes

El 'Jefe" doesnt like to "punt" in order to race but i guess i could try

i dont have enough fund-age to put my 1/8th out there yet, but i will put Acee Ducee's black paint scheme on my LM with a chrome spike stickin out the front

He doesn't want to be dodging bullets I guess. He hasn't figured out that's part of rc racing in every class no matter what.

We are def going to keep running the edm body. Once you get one it lasts a long time and handles great. Only question right now is what the power plant will be. Should be finalized here very soon. I'd wait to buy a motor just yet if anyone was about to buy one for this class.

I haven't driven oval in years but I am not sure why everyone is wanting to change stuff already. I say stick as close to the rules of most, if not all of the other semi local tracks so we can take our cars to any track with min changes and race. If we have our cars set up for 13.5 or 10.5 EDM and go some where else to race and they run 7.5 then not only will we have to have multiple motors but the set up may change drastically. I will be out soon with a sprint, EDM for me to run and will have a 4x4 SCLM for my son to run. I will run whatever the rules say and have a blast, just don't know why we are wanting rule changes already.

I just glanced over the thread so forgive me if I missed something but, if you guys are talking about running 13.5 1/10 latemodels I'll be down for that!

Matts edm body is pretty tough I drove franks all year with no problems, plus he drove all year before I drove it....he was hard on it too...I'm not running class anymore because I can't afford any other cars...it's electric sprint whatever fits me better for next years rules, nitro sprint and possible 1/8 lm but not 100% yet.......

I personally prefer the look of the EDM over the late model, but I can go either way. I also personally don't have a preference for motor, what ever you all decide to run. I DO prefer the handling of the EDM over the late model body, but could deal with a late model body. One thing I will throw out there since in reality not a lot of people have run either class, is even though the EDM body is a little more expensive, I guantee that in the course of a season most people will spend more on bodies for the late model class than the EDM. I don't think I crash that much and went through a couple of late mod bodies just at K&C. And we weren't even going fast there. My EDM body looks nearly new after about 7 or 8 races. I'm planning on playing tomorrow night, think I'll bring both cars and see how they run, I can throw a 13.5 in my late model and see how they compare. The EDM's are fun to drive though!

Build the Late Model. We need more people. The class is way fun!

It takes a real driver to drive a Late Model - LOL!
