To clarify, the 360 sprint rules are not changing at all from what they have been all year long. It's the 17.5 sprint rules that are changing to match 360. Only difference now will be the motor wind.

The Decoder has been updated.

With the start of the winter Dirt Oval Racing Season the old PTX cloned transponders will no longer work at the covered track. MRT has a trade in half off offer. Mail your PTX in and get a PTX (NS) for half price.

Here is the flyer for both our Dirt Oval and Asphalt Oval winter series.

Some important info on class changes.

Dirt Oval Class Changes/Info

The 17.5 sprint class rules will now be exactly the same as 360 but with 17.5 motors. Weight, gearing, motor end bell timing, tires etc all have changed to match 360. You can now crank the motor timing (still blinky esc) and run whatever gearing you would like.

Street stock will run custom works street track tires. They hook up well on the indoor track and one set will easily last all winter.

Pro mod (formerly short course mod) will run bandito sc tires in either c2 or c3 compound. While they may not hook up quite as well as some other tires, the banditos will help level the field and ensure one set of tires is all you will need all winter.

We have decided to add the B Mod class for this year. These are rear or mid motor buggy based cars running 17.5 motors, blinky esc, open gearing, motor timing, open 2s lipo battery, and open offroad buggy tires. They run bodies just like pro mod but designed to fit on the smaller 2wd buggies.
Almost like a street stock on steroids.

Indoor Asphalt Class changes/Info

Any sprint car class running on asphalt will run wingless.

In all pancar classes the 1-cell LiPo main battery is the only power source permitted
for any electronics in the car (i.e. receiver packs are no longer permitted). You may use an external booster such as the novak or hobbywing in place of a receiver pack.

SK- This class uses ROAR approved 17.5 motors (D3.5 ALLOWED 15/16 SEASON). Electronic Speed Controls used in the class must be ROAR approved under the “ROAR Sportsman Class ESC rule” and must be set to the Sportsman profile at all times (i.e. no timing boost, cheat modes, etc). Roar approved 1s lipos. Racers may use any foam tires intended for use on 1/10th scale pan cars. The chassis are specially designed for this class. Min weight 33oz. We will follow the National Sk rules available here. 2015/2016 SK Rules

17.5 Nationwide- This pancar class uses ROAR approved 17.5 motors, Roar blinky esc. Spec bodies will be Protoform 1233-25 or 1237-25. Bodies, front fenders, and rear spoilers must be cut on molded cut line and rear bumpers must remain in place. No "Wings" allowed (only spoilers). Any roar legal 3.7v 1s Lipo battery. Must use World GT Spec Tires with the Purple ring. Min Weight 36oz.

17.5 Super Truck- This class is intended for sportsman level competition. This class uses ROAR approved 17.5 motors, Roar Blinky esc. Must run spec Nas-Truck style truck body Protoform 1227-21. Bodies and rear spoilers must be cut on molded cut line and rear of truck may not be cut out. Max spoiler height 2" Any roar legal 3.7v 1s Lipo battery. Must use World GT Spec Tires with the Purple ring. Min Weight 36oz.

Yes at delta we run boosters only, no receiver packs. This is the same rule that TOUR uses nationally in order to make competition as fair as possible.  We should have 3 or 4 in stock if anyone needs one. Also the spec body and tire rules for 17.5 nationwide will be enforced. Minimum weight as well. Just the same rules that I posted months ago.

Looking forward to running some pan-car! Will be my second race. first one was a blast at P1 hobbies.  Also know some of the rules have changed so we need to help out and get in compliance as soon as we can. I know a big one is going away from the servo packs. can't wait till Sunday. Race on

Don't forget that we are racing asphalt oval on our beautiful indoor asphalt track this sunday. The track area is actually heated so it will be nice and comfy!

Doors open @8am racing starts @11am. 3 rounds and mains.

We have about 8 or 9 17.5 nationwide cars and 5 or 6 sk cars confirmed to be coming in addition to our normal dirt oval classes. Lets kick off our asphalt winter season with a bang! Lots of fun to be had hope to see you Sunday!

Yes, sk car is 33oz minimum. Try to put the weight toward the left rear if possible.

That'd be awesome Joe! Hopefully some ground pounder guys show up. We will have a nice local group of pancars for the first time and it'd be killer to have some out of towners show up. I just finished my pro6 tonight and will be running some laps tomorrow. See you on the 22nd!
