 Looks like forecast is clearing up for this weekend.  Gates open at 8am, practice 8:30am - 10:15am and racing to start at 10:30am.  4 makes a class, 1st class is $25, then $15, then $10.

Bring a table, chair, canopy, and extension cord.

Track will be prepped & sprayed.  Tire sauce is allowed, but tires must be dry when going out to track.
Remember, ROAR membership is required.  Memberships are available at the track.

I should have my Xray Le Mans car out to test.  and of course F1 for me.

Opening Race, Saturday, April 9.  Pitting/Parking will be open at 7:30am.  Practice 8:30-10am.  Racing to start at 10:15am.  Two 6 min qualifiers and One 6 minute Main.  Times are approximate and may change do to weather and track conditions.  1st Class- $25, 2nd- $15, 3rd-$10.
-Bring table, chair, extension cord and canopy
-Traction compound may be used, but tires must be dry before placing car on track.
-All racers and marshalls must be a current ROAR member.

The following are rules for each class and tech rules. 

Formula 1

-Any brand/make/model of 1/10 electric Formula 1

-Maximum track width is 190mm

-Minimum weight is 1050g

-The front suspension must be mounted to the chassis within the confines of the body and must be purpose built for

Formula 1 cars with authenticity in mind.

-F1 Rubber Tires must be used with purpose made Formula 1 wheels.  Any inserts may be used.

-Rear solid or independent axle 2wd only.

-Motors: ROAR Approved 21.5 Brushless

-All speed controllers must be operated in Blinky Mode(zero timing) and ROAR approved. 

 

Mod TC

-Any brand/make/model of 1/10 electric sedan with independent suspension

-Minimum Weight: 1380g

-ROAR Approved ESC

-Open motor

-Open rubber tires

-TC Body

 

17.5 TC

-Any brand/make/model of 1/10 electric 4wd sedan with independent suspension

-Minimum Weight: 1380g

-Motors: Any ROAR Approved 17.5 brushless

-All speed controllers must be operated in Blinky Mode(zero timing) and ROAR Approved. 

-Open rubber tires

-TC Body

 

USGT

-Any 1/10 4wd or Fwd sedan with 4 wheel independent suspension. -Minimum Weight: 4wd 1450g weight Fwd 1200g weight

-Motors: ROAR Approved 21.5 Brushless

-All speed controllers must be operated in Blinky Mode(zero timing) and ROAR Approved.  -Body Specifications: Any 190mm or 200mm body. Body can be any body that is NOT on the ROAR T2 body list. FWD encouraged to use FWD bodies However, Can AM or IMSA style bodies, similar to 1/12 or 1/8 bodies are also discouraged NO Trucks Any "SCALE" molded wings can be used. Lexan wings 10mm maximum height / side dam height Scale type race liveries encouraged -Tire & Wheel Specifications: Tires- Ride # RIE24025 - set of 4 available through Gravity RC http://www.teamgravityrc.com/ to dealers and retail Grinding of tire tread is NOT permitted. Sanding of mold seam to remove seam is allowed MUST USE INCLUDED INSERTS -Wheels- Any 24 or 26mm spoke (non-dish) type wheel

 

 

 

 

Pro10 Pancar

Any 1/10 2wd pan car

200mm – 235mm width

Motors: ROAR Approved 10.5 brushless

Any ROAR Approved ESC

Pro10 body

Tires: any pan car foams

 

Tech Information:

All vehicles are subject to tech inspection by PPRC Staff as well as which item to be teched.

(If a driver refuses to let PPRC staff tech their car, they will not be allowed to race that car)

 

Tech Equipment being used:

 

1) FLUKE 115 Voltmeter to test Batteries

            -2s 7.4v ROAR Approved Hardcase Only.  Lipo batteries must not exceed 8.44v at any time.

            -If a driver tests over 8.44v, they will be given 1 warning. If they are over a second time, they will be DQ’d

             for the day in that class

 

2) MMS-2 will be used to test Stator Resistance

            -21.5 motors must test 31.5mohms or higher

            -17.5 motors must test 21.5mohms or higher

 

3) An oscilloscope will be used to test if esc's are in blinky mode. 

 

4) AWS AMW-13 Scale will be used take weight.

Consequences for not being within the above values:

            -Pre-Tech= Driver will not be allowed to race in their qualifier(battery voltage may be ran down 1st time,

              weight may be added if under)

            -Post-tech= Driver will be DQ’d for the day in that class.

            -After Mains= Drivers run will be DQ’d and driver will not be allowed to race at WSR/PPRC for 2

              consecutive race days.

WSR and Pole Position RC have joined to bring you 1/10 electric racing in Fremont.
I know there will be lots of questions, so hang in there while I finalize the details.  The first race will be on Saturday, April 9.  The 2016 season schedule will be posted soon.
