Saturdays Race
We had a good race Saturday.  Turnout was decent, we had somewhere between 50 and 60 entries.

We had a couple out of towners show up. Hopefully they had a good time

The weather was warmer than I had hoped, but not too bad. It cooled off nicely when the sun went down. Traction came up as we got to the mains, but not out of hand.

The track improvements were great. The additional Curbing was a great addition, as well as the extended sweeper.  The sweeper was definitely smoother than it used to be. The only cars i saw that were effected were F1. They were bouncing a little, but didnt seem to get out of shape.

Over all the Track is about 3-5tenths slower now thats its been extended.

NEXT RACE
The next two weekends will be club races. We will still be using ILAPS transponders for those two races.

RACE SCHEDULE
I should be receiving a new Race schedule this week. I will post it up as soon as its made available.

The race director has 2 of mine and a third from hobbytown available.  Also there are other racers with transponders available to borrow.

Hobbytown has not put out a new race schedule as of yet. But it is in the works. I will inquire about it and let you guys know.

Should be some good racing this weekend!!

One of the club locals loaned me one last week which is greatly appreciated! Will the race director have the loaners? I will be bringing another out of towner with me this week, so we may need three if there are that many to spare?

RACING:
There is a Series race this Saturday the 10th.  Racing will start around 7pm.

The weather should be nice this weekend.

There are loaner transponders available.

TRACK UPDATE:

There have been some improvements made in the last week.  We have added additional curbing on the infield. Every turn now has curbing except sweeper and Carousel.

Also, we decided to push the sweeper back roughly 4-6 feet to eliminate the bumpy section of track.  This change makes the track a bit longer, pushing its total length to over 170 feet x 75 wide.

AMB/MYLAPS update:
There are 3 more races this month, and we will be switching to AMB/MYLAPS transponders.  Starting October we will officially be making the switch.

Had a blast this weekend. Thanks to all the Fresnoians for being cool, lending transponders, and running a great program. Great track and great people. For those interested, you can see my hat-cam footage of both VTA and USGT mains on the YouTubes. Search my username, which is MostlyTorso.

We had a great turnout yesterday. Just under 70 entires. Had a few guys from Norcal and SoCal Come race.  They had a blast!  We have a lot of fast guys racing here in the Fresno area.  If you guys come race. Bring your A-Game!

We we will switch back to day racing after the summer series is complete. Our last scheduled night race is the last weekend in September. October should be the start of day racing again.

also a reminder. Starting October 1st we will be switching to AMB / Mylaps timing system.

We have a decent F1 class.
We get an average of 7 cars show on points days.
Any F1 racers out there come join us this is a great F1 track.
There is a non points race this weekend but there should be a few of us out there.

I had lots of FUN. The HEAT was nuts, but Im glad it cooled off at night.
Traction went up once the Sun went down. Lighting was good, but it could be improved.
I was glad I painted my body with bright colors. People were very friendly & the completion was pretty good. Big thanks to Jim Bishop who helped me out & Carlos for the iLap loaners. We have other racers in the Bay area asking & planning to take the trip to your tracks.
This was my first run in Nitro for 15 years & I had a BLAST!! Thanks for the great hospitality & awesome track.
