I had lots of FUN. The HEAT was nuts, but Im glad it cooled off at night.
Traction went up once the Sun went down. Lighting was good, but it could be improved.
I was glad I painted my body with bright colors. People were very friendly & the completion was pretty good. Big thanks to Jim Bishop who helped me out & Carlos for the iLap loaners. We have other racers in the Bay area asking & planning to take the trip to your tracks.
This was my first run in Nitro for 15 years & I had a BLAST!! Thanks for the great hospitality & awesome track.

John Gonzalez (Gonzo)

I wont be there this weekend, but I will give my 3 transponders to the Hobbytown Crew to let you guys borrow..  I have a couple other guys  that will hopefully have loaners available. Talk to the race director (should be Cody) once you guys get there.

The track will be prepped and Sprayed.

Nick,
4 Nitro guys are coming up on Saturday who don't have any iLap transponders.
Can we borrow some from you guys? Will the track be prepped & spayed?

Thx-Gonzo.

We had a good race Saturday. We had roughly 65 entries. This was the first night race of the summer series.

Hobbytown has been adding to their light collection and the lighting was very good compared to last summer series.

I ran Sorex 36s all night. Traction was very good and consistent, even as the sun went down, the traction didn't get out of control.

Curbing Update: They have installed 1 more curb since last race. So far 3 permanent cubs are installed,  4 more to go.

MYLAPS/AMB update:  The plan is still to upgrade to MYLAPS/AMB after this summer series. It was discussed in short at the drivers meeting again.

Hopefully some of you guys can make it out for the next one

VTA weight.. 1450g *CORRECTION* Driver/interior required

We are still on I-laps, We will try to have as many loaner transponder for you out of town guys as possible. I personally have 2-3 i can lend out. Try to give me a heads up if you're planning on coming, I will coordinate with other to make sure we have enough loaners available.

We had 62 entries today. Not a bad turnout for Memorial Day weekend. Had some real good racing in all classes but especially in 17.5, USGT, and nitro again. The winner of USGT ran the Gravity RC spec tires and they seemed to work pretty well. Good enough to take the win today against everyone else running open tires.

Traction was very good all day. I ran my old set of sorex 36s in practice and the first heat. They had great traction but was a few tenths off of Jaron Bandy. So decided to finally open up a new set for the second heat and dropped half a second. Car actually had less grip over all but was more consistant. (But I did have 8 race days on my year old set). So I guess it was time.

We have a week off of racing next weekend. Some of the guys will be installing curbing in a few of the corners.

Saturday the 11th will be a club race and the first night race of the season

Saturday the 18th will be the first summer series race.

Remember, USGT will be on the Gravity RC spec tire staring in June. Hopefully some of you guys can make it out.
