Power will be provided for the racers that will be pitting outside. HT has power distribution  block, the same one used at the CenCal Challenge.
The weather looks like it would it is going to cooperate looking forward to racing.

Hobbytown has power that they pull from inside the building, but you will need to bring your own extension cord to run to your pit area.

What will the power situation be like for TCS?

Do we need to bring our own source for pitting outside?

I spray the track at Hobbytown last week and supervise the spraying when I don't spray it. The traction was good till 4:30 when the dew point that is the temp that cause's fog. We had a couple  of B mains a reboot in the VTA that add additional 30minutes that put us in the time period when the tires pickup the sugar.  I also sprayed the night before but the sprayer was malfunctioning so I had to spray twice. When I spray for this weekend I will spray lighter or spray VHT we haven't decided yet what we are going to spray. In any case I will use my best judgement and years of spraying traction. You have to know we are doing our best to provide the best experience for all of our racers. We wouldn't have to worry about this if we were racing in the spring. This is Winter so it is a crap shoot.

For the TCS race...the tires that we will be using NEED high traction conditions so a low grip track would be a disaster.  If you get traction roll with Sugar water, use it.  VHT is hit and miss during the winter months, we were lucky the sun came out at Norcal this past weekend.

Just a note Nick. VHT is tricky because if you don't have heat in the track, the traction can be like ICE. This is from many years of experience racing up hear in Northern California at different race tracks.... I realize your guys dilema of how to prep during this time of year.

Well the day ended up being cold and Gloomy.  Sun never really made an appearance.  We had a decent turnout, maybe 50-60 entries.  Traction was way up all day, with quite a few struggling with traction rolling.  With the moisture level, we ended up having some tire transfer issue toward the end of the day, with the last 2-3 mains having the most, just before dark.

I spoke with Justin at Hobbytown about switching to VHT, especially during the winter months.

For the upcoming TCS race they will wash the track and use VHT for sure.

Thanks for the out of towners for coming out, sorry for the cold day. We appreciate the support.

Thanks to the HT crew for an interesting race day.  Worth the drive to get the track time.  Much appreciated.
