June 25 TCS race at Norcal Hobbies is coming up next month.  And we are supposed to have some good weather for their next race on May 21st so....

Does anyone want to race GT2 (21.5) in full TCS Race trim?  There's also GT1 (17.5), GT ProSpec(Reedy 21.5), Mini(Reedy 21.5), and F1(Reedy 25.5).

Is the TA07 approved chassis for GT2? The list only show up to TA06.

Results Aliso Viejo Regionals

Wow what a weekend!  With 133 entries the race program and tech went extremely smooth we were done be 5pm.  The track itself was a beast most of it was torn to shreds during all of the rain storms this past winter.

I'm glad that all of the Norcal drivers made the A mains in there respective classes.  We all had a learning experience with the track and how to get around the fastest lines.  Only one had the infamous puff of smoke and burnt plastic smell.

3 months to Norcal TCS!!!

Had a lot of fun at my first TCS event and checked off another thing on the bucket list. Norcal crew had some strong finishes at the Tamiya track this past weekend. Thanks again to John for all the valuable track tips and help.

Norcal TCS is coming soon in a few months, get your Tamiya cars ready!

Tamiya is providing the chairs, tables and outside tents.  Entry fee is free and it comes with Tshirt. Looking forward to see the Tamiya track for the first time.  John Balatico Was so much help in getting the cars ready for Sunday. A few NorCal regulars attending.  Also all the sale items they have.   Got the Mini and GT Pro Spec ready.

TCS March 26th at the Tamiya America track will have over 100 racers signed up by this coming sunday. (99 racers signed up so far)

A group of NorCal racers will be headed down for the race.  So far the largest classes are GT2, GT1 and Mini.

Weather report for the Tamiya track is possible misty rain on saturday for practice, however clouds then sun on Sunday's raceday.  The track dries quickly and you will not have issues with traction there.

Good Luck to all!

Google Tamiya 2017 TCS rules.  Yes new Body (Mercedes)and front spool is allowed.  No shimming and A and C tires are allowed now.

I'm hearing that rules have changed for GT-Pro Spec -- new body approved, front spool/other parts, etc.  I can't find this info anywhere -- either on RCTech or Tamiya.  Anyone have the page/thread showing the updated rules?

Thank you.

If your headed down to Tamiya America for the TCS race, make sure you bring a Flourescent painted body with you or one that glows in the dark.  Last year during the Mini A-Main and GT Pro Spec we were racing in the dark...there is no lighting at the Tamiya Track.
