Sounds good on Pro10

Do we have a "generator fuel" fund? I will contribute a little extra to help cover the costs

Schedule will depend on turnout and if I can break even with fuel and rent . I will do my best to give everyone a place to race.

I think the 235 tire for now should be open as so far we have not had more then 1 show up on carpet.

I know Aaron Lewis has one now, I hope to get mine going, Rick Y has one and Not sure if Josh B still has his or not

I do think 17.5 will be the way to go but lets just get some to show up 1st

Pro10 17.5, 2s? spec tire?

I like the spec idea on everything, makes it simple. With the other classes running their respected spec tires shouldn't pro10 follow suit?

Aaron will have to answer that. I do know he's working with the fairgrounds thou for
more dates.

this 1st race is going to cost Aaron a bit more to rent the place as they still don't have

the power fixed yet.  Aaron has to spend a good amount more for the generator fuel.

the fairground is running off a large truck size generator that powers a few buildings
and offices and he has to cover the fuel cost for the race day plus his normal rent.

Hey John,

Just got back into town.

Unfortunately, I do not have two complete WGT-R cars and two radios any longer.  Just one radio and two identically setup (except for body) WGT-R cars these days.  robably will sell one of my beasts with all electronics intact (minus receiver) and a new Team Scream The One 17.5 motor that did maybe 10 laps at the IIC this year.

Or, I may trade one for the latest CRC 1/12th if spec tires become the norm at Stockton.

Watching the long term weather reports leading up to the December 9 race...Already snowed once here...LOL

when I run Ulti or BSR i will use 2 sets on the races day as they ware faster then the spec
2 weeks ago I went to the Big Chill put a new set of spec on at 40.5 rear 39.5 front (big race size) after 5 runs of practice I was at 40.3 rear and 39.3 front so I stayed with them for the first 3 rounds and put new ones on for round 4 and mains. My sizes for the 1st set are still at 40.2 rear 39.2 front, I will use that set later on the the year, The 2nd set will be use for next race practice and 3 rounds of Qualifying for next race up north. So for the whole weekend I am at 2 sets with a set that I can still run for pratice and Qualifying next big race. If I was on BSR or Ulti oprn tire it would be up to 4 sets and no extra days

For Mod 1/12 up north I went thru 4 sets of Ulti and 2 sets of BSR open tires

For Club Racing I will start at 41.5 and 40.5 and run the for up to 4 race days (yes days)

I do plan to run the Spec tire at Stockton to see lap times now if I'm off pace yes the ulti will come out

What I found is that having the Spec tire will even the playing field

I been to races where if you did not have the right combo you where off pace. 3 years ago I was off by 2 laps of the TQ at Denver Mile High race,Found out what tires combo the top 5 where running and found a set and was able to get into top 5 in the last round.

If People would go with Spec I bet I could gets some 20 sets here for the 9th at 11 to 12 bucks a set front or rears

spec tires that are out there

BSR Purple stripe

CRC purple stripe

JFT blue stripe

Tim

I will post this here for now but will start a new thread

I would like the 1/12 scale driver to chime in only but we know how that will go

(we know who runs 1/12 and who does not)

Ok since I made this post my phone has died

We are at 60/40 split on the 10 people I have been able to talk to so far on TRYING

SPEC tires Not a rule yet but a test

I looking at this as a better start to the new racer that’s want to try 1/12 scale

We have the Georges from Visalia looking at getting 1/12 scale and asking which

Tire combo to get as of now they have 3 to 4 kinds to chouse from as each setup

Works a but different but if everyone was on the same tire the setups for each would

Be close for everyone.

I have source out the JFT 1/12 spec tire with BLUE stripe for 20 bucks a set front and rear

I would rather tell the Georges that yes use this tire as everyone else is on them

So they would only need to buy a few sets of one tire rather then 6 sets of 3 different

Combos

I know people have invested in tires already last year, I have lots of tires at home and believe me when I packed for Canada a few weeks back it was nice to throw in 4 sets of spec tires and know I don’t need anything else

Now for mod I took 20 sets of tires and would have had to take 20 more if open tire for stock
