I just don’t want people to be confused that going with a slower power plant will make them any more competitive. That is what people think online. It may help them in the control department but unless the fast guys get slower, the gap will be relatively the same just at a slower pace.

Yes, skilled racers will still be on the podium.  That’s not what this is about.  It’s about all the new 21.5 motors are just about as fast as the 17.5  motors a year ago.  That’s too fast for f1 rubber imo.  I understand both sides, but it’s time for a change now.   I know many people that are in for 25.5 so let’s race.

I have to agree with AALEWIS. I love 21.5. I get it for a bunch, the 21.5 pushes the limit of the tires which in turn makes the cars a bit of a handful for some. 25.5 kind of dumbs down the class as far as speed goes but may encourage more to participate, but the fast guys will be fast whether it be 21.5-25.5 or whatever. 25.5 doesn't solve disparity in skill level so please don't be confused here.

No thanks.   21.5 makes F1 fun.  Don't think you're going to get too many people involved by making them but another motor.

Yeah, full throttle around the whole track.

that's what 25.5 is at SWR and was at iic

That's why we stuck with 21.5

So which 25.5 are legal? Obviously it has to be to ROAR spec? 21.5 is perfect IMO but hey I don't race anymore so do what you gotta do.

By going to 25.5 I believe it would grow the class.  Right now it is very hard for new racers to get 21.5 power down to the ground.  Also most 25.5 motors are very equal. I've raced 25.5 in F1 at the Fresno Tamiya  race and I who can't drive 21.5 F1 had some fun.

Just wondering if anyone would like to try 25.5 in the Formula 1 class.  Clubs have already switched to the 25.5 ROAR Spec motors mostly to rekindle the Class and gain more entries.

I think now is the time.
